According to well known author,Mark Twain"Loyalty is a word which has caused vast harm for it has been made to trick men into being loyal to many inequities, which has ensured rebellion."While individuals say it is easy to maintain downright loyalty, others continue to prove throughout history that loyalty is unachieveable. It is not possible to maintain full faith because of history mistakes and actions.

As a society we try to learn from history's mistakes to not commit them again. While we learn and grow as a population we see many examples of the population going against the government. In the sixties there were many protests to try to gain equal rights. The government wanted the population to follow their regulations while others wanted change. The protests in Birmingham, march on Washington, and Kent state are perfect examples on how the government wanted us to be loyalist. We choose not to maintain true loyalty to them.

The possibility for someone to remain faithful are slim.People nowadays are gullible and fall into an endless cycle of deceiving. With the media being a heavy influence on pop culture,it is easy to manipulate.Because of this influence people are constantly lying and deceiving to another person.Since children constantly on social media they are exposed to these"trends."

One always has a choice to make. When choosing the possibility to maintain true loyalty often people choose the wrong path. When making this choice to stay loyal society has a devil on their shoulder. It is not possible to maintain true honest loyalty because of pop culture and previous prehistoric events. Is it possible for you to maintain loyalty?
