“It's liberty or death. It's freedom for everybody or freedom for nobody.” These were Malcolms' last quotes before death. Malcolm X is a hero that many people will not forget. He is a role model, a hero, and most of all a person who spoke the truth only even if it cost his life. Malcolm's early life consisted of gambling, stealing, and drug dealing until he discovered Islam in prison. After his discovery, he had become a  Muslim minister and human rights activist who was a popular figure during the civil rights movement.

Malcolm’s childhood experiences motivated him to join the civil rights movement. Malcolm fought for the rights of black people because of what his family had experienced from the discriminatory violation. He had articulated at several gatherings and big events and numerous people listened. He protested and made many speeches to stop segregation.

Malcolm X established the afro-African organization to encourage Africans to fight for themselves against white racialists. Unlike Martin Luther King jr, Malcolm X dreamed of independence for his black women and men, big and small, people alone. Malcolm X aimed to link African Americans with their African roots, develop economic independence, and promote African American self-determination in the spirit of the OAU's coalition spirit. He also wanted to be represented by the OAAU on the OAU.

Malcolm X worked hard on spreading the word of Islam. He inspired many people to convert to Islam. One of the many people he inspired was Mohammed Ali. Malcolm X and Mohammed Ali had been friends since when Malcolm was considered a criminal.  According to the ThoughtCO article Malcolm X in Mecca, "Malcolm had said: In my thirty-nine years on this earth,” he would write in his autobiography, “the Holy City of Mecca had been the first time I had ever stood before the Creator of All and felt like a complete human being.”  Malcon had discovered that his perspective on life was altered as a result of the encounter. Gone was the idea that White people were always bad. The call for Black secession was no longer heard.

Briefly, Malcolm X is someone who should be just as important as Martin Luther king. They both fought for the same cause and have died for the same cause. Malcolm X did not care if he died from what he believed in. He fought tirelessly to end segregation and give black people their rights.
