The moment I realized that my education had impacted me, was about almost a year ago in the 12th grade. I always thought that I was going to be just fine in High School until I started picturing myself in the future and it left me with a blank thought. I saw my friends getting ready for their new chapter and seeing a smile on their faces while I was wondering what am I going to do with my life. But then it clicked when I was in my 2nd semester of senior year. My eyes opened wide and at that point, I was determined to start on my new  journey.

It was that day when I had established my passion for my future but I couldn’t fail this time with all the help I received and asked for. This was my time to prepare to shine and be somebody but it wasn’t going to be as simple, I wanted my family to see who I was going to become. Successfully yes, but being affirmative is what I wanted more for myself. Although those 3 years I spent in high school were a waste of time having too much fun, to the point that  my good side was always telling me to do what was right. I’d be careless on doing homework, not accompanying my classmates, genuinely I really just didn't care about my education life. I was always on that negative side but I didn’t see myself. I just thought that my family would hold me down until I was rich or gone. Thank goodness reality hit me.  For example, in the quote Pink says “You can’t move mountains by whispering them”. This informs that you feel so confident of what people have to say about, such as you are going to stand for yourself and not care what society has to say. That time I had no idea what I was going to go through if I just continued on being the person I was and thought of being so self-assured. I never talked about getting help by my teachers, family members, or my friends because I felt heroic in every situation I was in. Fortunately, I made my decision on who I wanted to be so I can influence others the right way.

My mindset was getting on the right track of being successful, but first I wanted to determine who I was going to become next. I think of my life as a movie or a book story that has every chapter surprising everybody. At first I was a nobody who didn’t care much about school and just wanted to be with my friends hanging out. Then here I am, trying to be a better version of myself but one thing I really didn’t want to see was my parents being disappointed or unhappy with my choices. It was that time when I started going to tutoring to bump up my grades, always asking for help, and staying on the right track. I was clear to myself that I didn’t want to end up being a loser again. Furthermore, my counselor had called me to go and meet her at the counseling office to discuss my education plan. I kid you not, I felt super excited and I couldn't believe it. I walk in there feeling that breeze hit me like all the positive energy going into my body and then feeling so confident. From there, I can say that the meeting with my counselor went splendid and right now I am starting my journey to become a wealthy and a joyous human being.

Till this day,  I still think about how I was going to be capable but from being the old person I was. Who knows if I was going to graduate High School or drop out  but I didn’t give up on myself and I am glad I didn’t. I thank my family, friends, other people who helped me and most importantly I thank the lord for giving me hope.  Now it is my time to be somebody special so I can put a smile on my face and my parents. The key to life is that you want to be successful but you have to put effort into it.
