Money and Happiness Essay Example

I personally believe that money can not and never will be able to buy happiness. Money is an item that everyone needs and has at some point in their lives. Some have lots of it and some have less. No matter how much you have it will not bring true, long lasting happiness to someone. Money will improve your quality of life. Money will improve your lifestyle. Money will change a lot for a person. But there is no way to really purchase happiness because happiness is not an item. Money can, on the other hand, purchase goods that will assist your happiness and enjoyment. I've come across people with a lot of money and people with little money. I can't say that one is more happy than the other. The wealthiest people in the world are not the ones with the most money, or expensive clothes and house. They are the people who can find happiness without anything going their way. 

You probably go to school, if I had to guess. And a lot of those kids that you are around are different. Not everyone is the same and not everyone has the same advantages as everyone else. People may come with homes with more money, more family, and even more athleticism. Everyone has different things to offer but no one will have the same unique traits. You may notice people are more wealthy than you, more athletic than you, and taller than you. People may have better parenting than you. People are smarter and more skilled at all different things. Take my science class for an example. Some kids are incredibly smart and I don't understand how they remember anything. Then there's me, sitting in the corner trying to remember what the periodic table even is. My mind doesn't focus as well as others, it wanders off and sounds ruin my train of thought. I believe that nothing will ever be fair in the world we live in. You will not be treated the same by all. You may have less than some and you may have more than some. Either way throughout your journey through life you will always run into tough times where stuff isn't fair.

Talent, a natural aptitude of skill. Everyone has their own skills and talents that some do not have. Someone being naturally better than you is something that can be very demotivating. However I firmly believe that talent is talent and can only be outplayed by hard work. Most natural talents are handed to you. You need nothing but the courage to give something new a try. People who have major talent without any work don't understand the mindset of a hard worker. They don't know how to push themselves for something because everything came so easy. I experience this all the time. I was naturally talented in a lot of sports and other things like biking or hunting. But when it came time for school, I didn't understand that I had to put forth all this work just to succeed like an average student. When that one person that has a passion but isn't necessarily gifted in it learns how to work hard is when you see people going above and beyond. They will become better, more motivated and more focused. Although many talented people do know how to work hard, the average person with a talent won't succeed like someone with the winning mindset.
