In 2006 "monster house" was released to the public a genre of "horror" animated for kids of all ages to watch. after its popularity gained the film received many awards, in 2007 the film was nominated for best-animated feature film. like most horror that is geared for younger people. three different friends thrown together for the good of saving the house. In the film "monster house" DJ (Mitchel Musso), Chowder (Sam Lerner) and Jenny (Spencer Locke) discover that a creepy home in their neighborhood is actually a monster. as the title indicates. our three heroes realize that the house has a goal: on Halloween night it is going to stop the trick 'r treaters. Naturally, DJ, Chowder, and Jenny must stop this. This of course requires them to enter the house.

Looking at the plot of the film, the majority of it takes place in the Monster House itself, the neighborhood, and a few other locations. Within those locations is where the fantastical nature of the film is allowed to grow and expand. However, if you look at the "sets and locations" of Monster House, the film doesn't open itself up to the outside world. As DJ, Chowder and Jenny try and stop the paranormal on the block. They know what the Monster House is capable of. Little DJ has his doubts about the house across the street and its grumpy old owner. DJ believes the danger is ended when the old guy has a heart attack and is taken away by an ambulance. Unfortunately, as Jack, his pal Chowder, and Jenny, a candy-selling prep-school girl, find the house itself has plans. plans that involve eating all of the children who will be trick-or-treating on Halloween night. DJ states “The only way that we're goanna get out of here alive, is if we find the heart, and put out the fire”. however, at the end of the film is where all the action appears.

Later in the film, Nebbercracker is reunited with his wife Constance for just a moment as the house dies. for he is finally free after being trapped for forty-five years. "Forty-five years. We have been trapped for forty-five years. And now... we're free. *laughs* We're free! Oh, thank you, friend! Thank you all! WE'RE FREE!" the nebbercracker states that he is "finally free" this exemplifies how the nebbercracker felt towards his wife. 

As you can guess, this $75 million dollar film ultimately plays out the way that you expect it might. However, that doesn't stop it from being weird, mind-blowing, and utterly irreverent along the way. Renaissance was just a picture that didn't reach its target audience financially, despite a budget of $18 million and a box office gross of $1.8 million. A Scanner Darkly, starring Keanu Reeves, failed to gross more than $8 million worldwide. A Scanner Darkly just didn't connect with viewers, even with Reeves' power behind it. Monster House was made for $75 million and produced $140 million worldwide. however, Monster House was also developed into a video game for the now-classic Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo DS. Monster House was nominated for countless awards and was well-received by both audiences and reviewers.
