While almost fainting during church is quite an experience, I was fortunate to receive help. I was saved from passing out by a couple of people. They helped me calm down and collect myself so that I wouldn't faint.

On a Sunday morning, my family and I went to church. Since it was very early in the morning, I had not eaten breakfast. On top of that, I didn't sleep well that night. Feelings of slowness swept over me. As I entered the auditorium, my family walked ahead of me. I was still walking toward them when they took their seats. For quite some time, we had to stand, which affected my feeling at that time. When I began to experience blurry vision, I thought my glasses were fogged from my mask. While I removed my glasses I soon realized that my head was throbbing. Seeing my vision fade away filled my body with panic. It was hard for me to tell my mom, but once I did, we rushed out.

I was escorted to a seat in the main lobby by my mom. I sat on the floor instead with my back against the wall because it seemed too far away. I was told by my mom to remove my mask and breathe deeply. A woman began walking towards a room with concern in her eyes after watching my mom and me for a while. Closed my eyes and tried to steady my shaky breathing. My mom told me she'd go and grab me some water. I watched her head towards the area where they have water. Both my mom and the lady came back at the same time, but the lady had 2 officers with her.

I was handed water and a packet of Cheez-Its from my mom. I dislike Cheez-Its, but this event was not the moment to be picky. While opening that package of Cheez-Its, one of the officers started asking me questions. The questions were ¨ Do you need to be checked by a doctor? Can you breathe well? Do you have any health problems? Should we call 911?¨, I answered by shaking my head no and nodding yes. My mom ended up talking to the officer asking questions. I started to feel relieved that I was starting to feel better. My vision had come back a lot, things were still a bit blurry. I finished eating my Cheez-Its and took one more sip of water before standing up again. My mom and I thanked everyone for their help. I hugged my mom as we walked back to the auditorium. We walked back to our seats, and my mom informed my stepdad and sister of what had happened. She had also told my sister, who was sitting next to me, to keep an eye on me just in case something happened again. I ended up being fine for the rest of the day. Still very tired, but successfully made it through the long, stressful day.

Before the situation, I felt exhausted, but that stayed almost the same even after it happened. After I had felt very relieved and still a bit overwhelmed. Being able to go through that situation allowed me to learn I need to listen to my body more often. For example, if I feel tired I need to take time to rest. And another example is if my stomach is aching, I need to eat rather than ignoring it. Almost fainting during church was quite the experience, but I was able to learn a valuable lesson from it.
