Living life without a plan is like showing up to a regular party, in a costume …. Which makes feelings of stupidity and anxiousness arise. By planning your future, it’s easier to set goals and help you stay on track in life.

Maura Cowsert, a teenage girl with a future, who plans on attending college, graduating with honors, getting married and having kids. This dream will become a reality for Maura, because once she sets a goal for herself, she doesn’t stop until she reaches it. Maura has always been a hard worker, but she excels when a task is put before her. Because Maura has mapped out her life, she can ensure she will get exactly what she wants.

Although some people who live life day to day, may have more fun living on the edge. Most people prefer to know when their next meal is coming, and how much money they will have at the end of the month. Having a sure footing in life only comes from pursuing a plan. Bert Sandy, a famous comedian, always went with the flow of things. He never knew what would happen, but he was still along for the ride. Without  a steady income or plan, Bert wandered through life, until his untimely death in 2013. While many people struggle to accomplish much in life, it is always easier to achieve personal greatness if you follow a set plan.

Having a plan is only beneficial if one has the necessary discipline to follow through. Emily Smith, a single mother of three, now lives with her parents in Maine. Emily dropped out of college when she was 21, and quit her job. In doing so, she said goodbye to her previous future. She would never be able to get her old life back. If we want to live without regret, then we must execute our objective.

Clearly our time on Earth is limited, so instead of aimsley living, we should have a purpose and fulfill it. When we stay on the path, we open ourselves up to new opportunities, and greater achievements.
