Narrative Essay about My Dream Career

I had watched various films and see criminals been brought to court and decided by judges.though I never knew it to be a court then.i was in the range of 9 and 11 years at the time.some of the criminals had individuals I now know as attorneys or lawyers defending them.some of the criminals were sentenced while some were acquitted at last.all these took place on tv.i never witnessed one of such event in real life during that time.i thought it to be very interesting standing before a judge and say "objection my Lord" as I will see many of the lawyers say when defending their clients.

Prior to getting into high school,my dad would always say "Hey boy, you're going to be a petrol chemical engineer".I never knew what it was but I was just so happy about what his plan was for me.Though I loved seeing lawyers in court as I've watched on tv defending people,it was never anything related to what my dad wanted for me.but I never resisted since I was still very young and never actually knew what it was. I never really understood most phases of my life until I entered into high school.I just simply loved what I saw on the television until a drastic event took place that transported me to the next phase of my life.

Now,i have effectively gone through high school for two years and have already learnt alot.my school was quite a long distant area from my home town Safarogbo in Edo.i had to travel all the way back from Yenagoa an entirely different region, to my home town to spend the summer holidays.finally the holidays were over.my mum had just informed my siblings and I that we would be going back to school.everyone at home, particularly me was excited.preparing to wash our clothes,we needed to go to the well to draw water since there was no other means to get water in the village.still at the well,we heard some uncommon sounds,very awful and scary.they were sounds coming from various gunshots.in a twinkle of an eye,people were scattered everywhere in the town.a group of equipped men had attacked the village for reasons I never knew and everyone had to run for the safety of their lives.the next place we found ourselves was at the riverside.luckily we had a big boat there which could contain up to 15 individuals and we had to escape for our lives.in the cool of the day,my mum and I with a few others came back to check on the village only to see the chaos in the village.some lives and properties has been destroyed which includes our house.

Now the event was giving me justifications why I needs to be like the people I see on TV.i was so filled with a heart of revenge against the minds behind this.i just wished I could just be an adult in a flash and become a lawyer so I can put them behind bars.but unfortunately all were just mere imaginations.by now my dad was at that point supporting my plans.but that all ended there.

Despite the fact that, that event gave me more determination to be a lawyer,I finally realized I've loved it even before the event took place.i put forth conscious efforts to get good grades in high school,but in all,the considered vengeance in me has blurred away and now I truly know what my dream career is Being a legal advisor.
