Necessary Jobs Should Get Paid More Persuasive Essay

You want to get a job you enjoy, but that job doesn't pay you as much as you should. Well, many Americans agree that they are underpaid. According to CBS News, they state” The typical work is earning about $ 7,500 less per or about 13.3 percent than they should be” These people do great at their jobs and do more work than some people. The people who do these jobs are great at it They also do more work than some people doing jobs that get paid higher than them. This shows that necessary jobs like farmers, teachers, paramedics, etc should get paid way more.

Many jobs around the U.S  are becoming understaffed. Since these jobs are understaffed some companies are going out of business. But what if these jobs got paid more? According to PDK Polls, in 2019  a percentage of teachers who have considered leaving the profession (50%) goes up to 62% for teachers who feel undervalued by their community, who think their pay is unfair, or earn less than $45,000 a year.”( Ladders.com). Teachers in the United States are one of these many jobs that need to be filled. If the jobs that are necessary get paid more maybe more people would want to work again. This information is showing us that teachers are quitting quickly. This also means that other jobs besides teachers are quitting just as fast.

Well, why aren't there no hard workers working? Everybody feels underpaid and feels that they need to be paid more. The people that do the most work aren’t even working now because of it.  According to Thejobnetwork, they state “some of the most valued and hard-working professionals you might know don’t receive the pay that matches the sacrifices they make.” Some people do not deserve as much pay as these hard-workers do, but they do make a company look good and strive for higher goals.  Also, Thejobnetwork said this about registered nurses “Nurses typically make around $60k per year, and that seems pretty high compared to a lot of jobs in our current economy. But then you have to factor in how many more hours and responsibilities have been piled upon them.” This means that many people can work so hard, but not get the pay that they need to want to continue their job. This is showing that when people work hard and get paid right for it, maybe more will want to work. Also, it might get those people applying for jobs again. So jobs should get paid more for this to happen.

Many people aren’t getting paid and it’s stressing them out.  A CBS News article says “When Americans buy a home, they compare the prices of similar houses in the same area. But when it comes to securing a new job, many may fail to do their research and end up leaving money on the table.” This shows that finding a job is stressful enough, but when you have to find a job that can pay for your bills and other expenses, it gets hard.  Another thing that CBS has stated was “Emergency medical technicians earn a median base salary of $27,636, but should be earning $35,407, or about 21.9 percent more, Glassdoor said.” This shows that people’s jobs are stressful by themselves. Then you stick bills and your other expenses on top, it gets hard. So this means that if we do raise the prices for these jobs it won't be hard to find a job that they like, and a job that pays right.

The last reasoning of why people should get paid more is because some people don’t say have to handle as much as others. What I mean by this is that some jobs are more intense than the ones around them. According to thejobnetowork, they state that “Child care workers don’t make that much more than farmworkers, but their work is also very intense. Imagine all those kids, all that energy, all that responsibility, plus their hyper-vigilant and often overbearing parents.” This job is very important to many people. While parents are out making money they need someone to watch their children. This is a very hard-working job and can be hard for the workers. So this means that if we pay people more this might let them know that we appreciate them and their hard work.

Many jobs don’t get paid as much as they should. They deserve more than what they have now because businesses are becoming understaffed, there are no more hard workers working, people are becoming stressed out, and some people work more than others. I think that people should get paid more than what they earn now. Only because most people deserve it. Right this moment your job can have good pay, or at least to you think. It can be so much higher and way easier on you with your higher pay. So we should make a change, and not make things way easier but make things not as difficult. This is why necessary jobs should get paid more.
