I was the age of 10 years old and then I was getting ready to go on a camping trip. We were going to Maine to go camping, and I  was just an innocent young boy not  knowing what I was doing. Once we got there of course I started exploring every place I could, and didn't tell my parents where I was going. My mind was racing, I just kept walking and finding new things, not thinking about how I should not be out here alone in the middle of the woods. I Just kept wandering and looking around and finding new things that interested me, and as a young boy plenty of things caught my attention, and the woods just kept pulling me in deeper. Until I looked back!

And well of course I had no clue where I was, or what to do at that point and started just running around trying to look for my parents and the campsite. And it was possibly the worst time. It was about 7:30 and the sun is starting to go down and it’s gonna get dark soon and I have no clue where I was. At that age I didn’t have a phone so I wasn’t able to call my parents or call anyone for help, just myself in the middle of the woods. Now the sun is going down and I’m really starting to get freaked out. I had no hope. So I did what most people do, I started screaming for help which is probably not the best idea. Because I was a young boy in the middle of the woods in a sketchy campsite with weird people.

About 20 minutes later I start hearing crackling in the woods and it’s dark, it’s getting hard to see and I’m hearing crackling of branches and leaves on the ground, I am so scared at this moment. I’m sure my parents are freaking out now. It's definitely been about an hour or so since I've been gone; I'm freaking out myself not knowing what to do and I'm hearing crackling in the woods when it’s getting dark. Finally I hear something that seems to be my name being called and I don't know where the sound is coming from and I’m just waiting for them to come to me. About 10 minutes later I start yelling again and now I’m just going back-and-forth with yelling.

After about 10 minutes it ended up being my parents finally finding me. This is where things take a turn for the worst. So obviously they finally found me but at this point none of us know how to get back to the campsite, And now it’s really dark out and we cannot see 2 feet in front of us. So my parents got the phones and tried to call for help but there was no service so now we are completely stranded. It's cold, it's dark and we’re scared. So they put the flashlight on the phone and we just start walking around trying to go in the right direction. They are really angry at me right now and I am not happy either, because I got lost in the middle of nowhere. It’s been 15 minutes and we’re still walking around looking for the campsite we have no hope for now.

Finally we see some lights and we obviously walk towards them hoping it’s the campsite, We get out of the woods and we walk right into a trailer park. No one was up to help us find our campsite.Which really didn't help us, so we got on the main road and just started walking hoping to get a signal on our phones. We ended up getting a signal put in the campsite on a gps and had to walk about A mile and a half to the campsite on the dark on the road. We finally made it, we're all tired cold and just want to go to bed. This is my story of the time I got lost.
