Life is a precious thing. But it is up to me on how I decide to live it. To make the best out of life and live to the greatest potential, I believe in certain morals and aspects. These beliefs have shaped me into who I am today and have created an outline of who I will continue to grow into. It is up to each individual person to decide the most vital details in life and highlight them. The morals a person chooses to believe in will decide the paths they take. Personally, the morals I believe in the most are putting my family first, being a loyal and trustworthy friend, and having a good education.

My most important moral is the one I put before anything. My family. I learned at an early age that there are some people in the world that do not have a good family. Which made me care and love mine so much more. I realized how lucky I was that my parents had given me such a fantastic life. My family is the reason I am alive today. After my parents got a divorce when I was in elementary, I watched my mom work hard so that she can provide me with the life I have today. But as I was watching my mom, I noticed other parts of my family coming together and really defining the word family for me. Family are the people who help during challenging times in one’s life. No matter what is going on. My family does everything for me. They are the biggest support system there is. Whenever I would perform and feel nervous, all I had to do was look out into the crowd and see my family smiling back at me and all my nerves would go away. Not only did they support me at my performances they also support me emotionally. Whenever I feel anything in life good or bad, I know that I can talk to my family about it, and they will sit down and truly listen to me. Because my family is the most important thing in my life, I value their opinion on the people I bring around. If my family has a negative opinion about someone, I will start distancing myself from said person. Because I know that they will always have my best interest at heart.

The second moral I believe in is being a loyal and trustworthy friend. I have always tried to be the most loyal friend I can be no matter the circumstances. When I become friends with someone, I try my hardest to be there for him or her because no one ever knows what someone is going through behind closed doors. As a friend, I want the people I surround myself with to know they always have my full support. Loyalty to me means staying true to someone and loving him or her unconditionally. My friends start becoming more like family. Even if a friend and I lose contact and stop communicating, I still feel the need to be loyal to them since they did feel like family once upon a time. While I was on a dance team, I became close with my teammates, and they truly became like family. We were a complete unit. I tried to be a good role model to the younger girls by looking after them, giving them advice, and doing their makeup. I wanted them to feel as if they had a big sister. Even though I am no longer on the team, I am still in contact with them. Along with loyalty, I pride myself on also being trustworthy. If my friend tells me a secret, it does not leave my lips. Loyalty and trust go hand in hand but are both great morals to have in friendship. I would not want a friend that I did not know if I could trust or not, so I make sure my friends know that they can trust me.

Lastly, the third moral I believe is vital in life is a good education. In today’s society, it is important to have an education to be successful. By having a good education, a variety of opportunities can open for me. But having a good education does not always mean that I must go to college. Education comes in different forms. Not only can I have an education through school, but I can also get an education through life. Education is about learning new things. What better way to learn than by experiencing life and its many different experiences? In life, I will learn and adapt to the environment around me. Take college for example, while I am expanding my education through school, I am also starting a new journey in life. College is a new experience. It takes time to get used to and to adapt. But it is all a learning process.
