If they don't choose cooking, how will your child learn how to cook when they are older? Electives are great. Take cooking, for example, students are going to need to learn how to cook in life. So taking a cooking elective is great because students learn how to cook food that is healthy for them. With cooking, the students learn how to be creative and the students get to make food that could be a mixture of millions of things.

Cooking should be saved for many reasons. One reason is, they learn teamwork. When they are in the kitchen. With teamwork, the kids learn a very important life skill. When they are in the kitchen they need to have teamwork because they can't get everything done on their own which means that when they are making food they have a person for certain things.

When they're cooking you don't need a lot of money. For example "Wolfson a trained Chef" "cooking at home doesn't have to be fancy or expensive" So when the students cook they would need the fewest materials such as whisks, spatula, and utensils. So the school won't have to use that much money for cooking tools.

With Cooking the student learns to eat healthier when they are younger. Such as "The 8 percent who cooked only once a week or less consumed an average of 2,301 calories, 84 grams of fat and 135 grams of sugar a day. The 48 percent who cooked dinner six or seven nights a week consumed 2,164 calories, 81 grams of fat and 119 grams of sugar a day." Students need to learn to eat healthier meals. They also learn how to measure their amount of sugar intake.

So overall with cooking the students and the school gets more benefits. The students learn how to manage themselves and the school does not have to spend as much money as they would have to spend on computers or music.
