Persuasive Essay Sample: Why Do I Need a Computer
Dear parents,
As you may have realised for years i have desperately wanted a computer and I believe that this year it is more needed and important than all the other years because I need it for high school homework and many more reasons which I will explain shortly.
Firstly, my first reason. The only one you would agree on without me having to explain the others, high school! I definitely need a computer for high school for homework and note taking and so on. Because if I have a big homework assignment I’m not even sure my iPad will be able to open the task. It will also be so much more convenient being able to go home and instead of spending an hour waiting for my iPad to charge or trying to touch type on an assignment that is due the next day I can just walk into my room and bam! A computer all ready for my homework assignments.
Another reason is enjoyment, for instance how many times have I walked into your bedroom or the kitchen or anywhere else complaining that I’m bored and my iPad has died. But with a computer both of our suffering will end. I won’t constantly annoy you and I also won’t be as bored as I am right now while I’m writing this. Instead this would probably happen… “Mum I’m so not bored I’ve never had more too do in my life this is soo fun!” And then she’ll respond with... “I swear Logan if you’ve come too tell me you are bored again you will, wait you’re not bored. And I won’t ever have too deal with you being bored again because you have a computer?” Now both of us at the same time “Yay!” Brilliant am I right?
Ok now I know you might be a little hasty because of pricing but once you hear this plan about splitting the money you’ll definitely agree with me. Just watch, Ok so computers are built full of different parts, right? So with this proposal all of those parts will be divided up throughout the family like the grandparents and aunties and uncles can all have the slightly cheaper components. Now this is where you two come in, the motherboard could be left to santa or someone else but you guys would be for the graphics card and cpu. Which you can both decide on a reasonable limit for them like three hundred dollars for the cpu and four hundred for graphics card soo that it wont make you declare bankruptcy.
In conclusion I hope you can start to see why it’s obvious that I should get a computer this Christmas, oh and one last reason. You already bought James one so it’s only fair. Yeah so I think it’s obvious because of high school and how much I really want one. Also the fact of how I am gonna ask everyone in our family for different parts, I personally believe that just proves how dedicated I am to get one. So thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully I will see a computer shaped box under the Christmas tree this year.
