The New world was the talk of the town. Everyone was scared and excited at the idea of a new beginning. The Plymouth Colony on the other hand were looking forward to being able to express their religious beliefs. Plymouth was a more suitable colony than Jamestown. Plymouth was successful in many ways that include resources, repopulation, and many other ways. Although Plymouth did not grow agriculturally they made due with what they had. With the help of the Natives Plymouth was a very successful colony.

The king or New England had the Plymouth colony for religious purposes as they thought the Christian Church was corrupt. Their religion was a very strict religion so they left New England to be able to focus and practice their religion. Because of that they were able to coexist with one another. They lived on their own path and the ones who did not want to follow could leave. They had established their own laws so they all could live how they pleased.

The colony included men, women, and children so it was necessary for them to start building a home for their families. They had no problem repopulating and settling in. Back then it was a norm to have up to eleven children. Unlike Jamestown who only brought working men which was setting them up for failure  More people meant more land, jobs, and money to the government back in New England. A bigger colony also meant more workers to grow or hunt more food.

They knew winter was coming in fast. So for the first few days they stayed in the Mayflower to stay safe. Slowly going out and building their homes to settle in. A lot of the passengers in the Plymouth knew how to grow some crops that had a chance at survival. They had gotten lucky that the soil was fit to grow crops.

At one point people started dying off getting sick. Until a Native American helped them and taught them skills to survive. They learned from the Natives and got along pretty well. They had made a peace treaty with the Natives. Learning from each other helped their colony because they were willing to live in peace with the Natives unlike Jamestown.

The colony were men, women, and children so they could easily repopulate. They were better prepared when it came to supplies and being to survive the voyage to the New world. They also secured peace treaties with the Native Americans who taught many skills that helped them survive. In other words Plymouth was more successful and better in many ways. Their whole purpose there was mostly driven by religion but that is what led their colony to be more successful than Jamestown.
