As the population grows the impact of quality of life will continue to decline to cause a burden on countries, people running out of resources, and over time it will create an elderly generation that is dominant over the rest of the population.

While the population continues to grow it will continue to create a constant need for more space, education, and infrastructure. “Burden would be imposed on a country by the changing needs of its people for infrastructure (e.g., schools, hospitals, housing, roads), resources (e.g., food, water, electricity), and jobs” (Document B). The need for constant change for things like infrastructure is because by “2050, the world population is expected to be between 7.9 billion and 10.9 billion”(Doc B).  Because the population is expected to grow by nearly 2 billion people it creates the need for space. We are soon due to reach our carrying capacity and then what do we do? There will be too many people for the world to hold. This then proposes the issue to countries that there is not enough room for important infrastructures like schools, hospitals, and houses for all the people.

As time goes on and the populations continue to grow the number of resources the human population has will continue to shrink. “As shown throughout Document A, Overtime we will run out of the resources that help feed the growing population.” In the Sketch, it shows the population(The globes) as small and containable. The “guy” has enough resources to feed the population but as time goes on and the population increases it requires more and more resources. In the last photo, it shows the population’s big and overpowering need for “food” but the “guy” is not able to keep feeding the population, he has run out of the resources to keep feeding the globe. This is exactly what will happen: over time the population will continue to grow, we will reach our carrying capacity and run out of resources, leaving the population without essentials like food, water, and shelter.

The last issue with having a population boom is having unbalanced generations, as people start to realize the population is too high they will start to stop having kids this will create a generation that is bigger than the rest of the other generations.“And with fewer young people in society, the question is: How are we going to provide for the elderly and the nation’s future? We need to but don’t have a clear answer”(Doc D).  The issue with having an older dominated population is when they start to die there will start to be more deaths per year then born each year. This then poses the issue of not enough younger population to make sure we have enough people to take care of the older generations and to continue working. This is also shown in document E. In the chart you can clearly see that it is an upwards arrow shape. This shows how we have a big older generation but as you get down you can see that there were less births to a generation then the ones that will end up dying.
