The movie, Red Notice, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, which was released on November 5, 2021, was actually a pretty entertaining film, in my opinion. The movie starts out introducing us to the scheme in which all three main characters, Sarah Black, or The Bishop, played by Gal Gadot, Agent John Harley, played by Dwayne Johnson, and Nolan Booth, played by Ryan Reynalds, are currently working on.

Throughout the movie, Agent Harley and Nolan develop a close friendship, through their countless interactions throughout the movie. Through Russian prison, to a fancy masquerade dance, trying to take all of the eggs to get the $300,000 reward. Throughout their time trying to get all of the eggs, Sarah is always just on their trail. In the movie, there are three eggs. Two eggs are in known locations, while the other has been lost to humanity, supposedly. We find out through Sarah that Nolan knows where the last egg is.

While this is all happening, there was a cop not too far off of the groups tail. Urvashi Das, played by Ritu Arya, had on a couple of occasions, gotten Agent Harley and Nolan behind bars. But, Nolan is an expert at escaping from ‘sticky situations’. When they finally reach the last egg, we come to find out after a lot of explosions that Nolan was being played by Agent Harley the entire time, and was working with Sarah. Together, they were The Bishop. This was a huge twist for the movie, and really added something most people wouldnt see coming, me included.

This movie however, was a joy to watch. Mostly anything with Ryan Reynalds in it is hilarious, but this was something different. I am not usually one to watch action movies, but this one was an exception. It was very funny, the cinematography was also pretty good. The art and concept of the movie were also really nice, and very intriguing for a novel action movie person. My favorite part of the movie was when the pair ( Nolan and Agent Harley ) were being tortured by Sarah. It really gave character development for Nolan, and we got to understand his character a bit more, along side the other times when he would talk about his childhood.

Overall, I think I give this movie a 7/10. It wasnt my cup of tea at the beginning, but in the end, it was a really good watch. I probably wont watch it again, but thats just because the plot of steeling something and running away with it is one that is widely used. But, putting that aside, this movie was actually pretty good. I would recommend this movie to people who like action, or like a good comedy, where things go boom.
