Reflective Essay about Pet Life

Animals accommodate many purposes, but pets are members of our families.  Pets may not be human but they show vigorous qualities of a human-like; unconditional love, personality, and emotion.  There are many types of pets in this world but the most prevalent are dogs, cats, and fish.  But all three of these pets are different in their way.

Everybody has heard the slang, “A dog is a man's best friend”, and that has come to be very true. A dog is a great pet to have because it is good for your health, they provide you with the emotional stimulus you need, also they protect their territory and everybody that takes care of them. There are the only ones that love you more than it loves itself. What I have realized is that when you are down, there are things you get from the silent devoted companionship of a dog that you can't even find from another pet. The fact that they will put their lives in jeopardy just to not let anything happen to them, shows that they have a faithful friend.

Cats may be one of the most relaxed and intelligent pets you could ever have. They could be left alone for hours without any fear because they're known for being more trained. Cats also take care of their grooming. Bathing a cat is rarely a problem because they clean themselves. I believe cats are more particular about personal cleanliness than people are. Studies have said that when you sleep with a cat you sleep a whole lot better.

Fishes are easier to take care of, they don’t need much attention, they only need to be fed and to have their tanks cleaned. They loved for the tanks to be filled with decoration and rocks. Fishes can easily be trained to do tricks and become playful the more you interact with them. The sound of ocean waves and waterfalls from the fish tanks brings peace and relaxation to the house when it's quiet. Just because the fishes can't physically comfort you like a dogs and cats can help you interact and bring joy.

Pets express their unconditional love, personalities, and emotion in their way.  A dog expresses their ways by being that best friend you once never had, they provide great company, comfort, and just makes you feel a different type of love. What separates cats from other pets is they are very independent and low maintenance. You don't have to worry about it because they don’t need so much attention as dogs do. Fish may not physically bring comfort to you but will always have peaceful sounds and few tricks.  In conclusion, pets can provide positive feedback in their ways.
