Reflective Essay On Difficult Choice

It is normal to view a seemingly hard task as daunting or even impossible. Every day a new person is born into this world with a clean slate, free of societal expectations: at least for that initial moment or two. Eventually, like the rest of us, they will grow up and be faced with arduous choices. However, it is how they chose to attempt or solve these difficult tasks that make all the difference. Although some believe that tasks too difficult shouldn’t be attempted, it is important to pursue them to grow mentally.

The value of achieving difficult tasks is similar in the corporate world. Without the millions upon millions of people going about their jobs every day, the world would not function. From a metaphorical standpoint, in order for the machine to work, all of the gears, nails, screws, and cords must be functional and operating. Workers are the machine parts and the machine is the business world, an intertwining web of difficult decisions. As investors come along to support companies, they must put their trust in the company that they’re choosing to invest in, which is a difficult choice in itself. The ability to overcome that little voice in their head saying “Hey! Should we be putting x amount of money into the market?” is a strong force. So as people begin to step forward and unleash themselves from the “I give up“ mentality, they can progress in life.

An issue will never be resolved if it is not first faced. Many people believe that they can just ignore a problem and have it go away. While this position is popular it is not logical in any sense. It is almost always the case that people with this mindset will find themselves having to regroup and face their problems once more. In order to grow as a person and learn how to answer difficult questions with well-thought-out answers, you must first face difficult choices. No successful person has ever gotten to where they are at this very moment without sacrifice and difficulty.

Choices can be daunting and the mentality that is drilled into us as children can seriously affect that. While it may be easier to ignore the issue and move along, it is important to complete the tasks so that society can progress in life. The importance of having the will to overcome that pessimistic voice inside of our heads is immense. As more of society chooses to take the leap and make the difficult decision, the payoff will come for all of us.
