I had a hard time trying to come up with an idea for this prompt. I knew I wanted to write about it, but I was not sure what to write. It's quite the predicament to be in especially when knowing that most of the high schools are looking at this paper. Eventually, I decided to explain the presence of law and chaos in our everyday lives, and how it can change the actions we take, and the kind, or type of person we become. To start, I am going to explain the law and chaos argument, and the difference between the two ideologies.

The lawful side of this quarrel argues that an organized and arranged style of life is best for the good of everyone, and everyone should be ruled by one party at the top of the food chain. This leads to things like poverty and slavery for those who are unable to climb the ladder of society and become a stereotipical rich person who doesnt have to pay taxes and such. Sometimes this can lead to the overthrowing of the government, and also the freedom of the people from the inescapable whirlpool that this system can lead to. When said government has been demolished, the chaotic side of this contretemps is shown, being the chaos perspective.

The chaotic perspective on this disagreement argues that one should live their own life, and should only care about themself. This is the exact opposite of what the lawful side argued, but when taken into consideration, it makes a lot of sense. Humans would be free to themselves, with no ruler or government, and no hierarchy to be stuck in; however violence and crime would be uncontrollable. There would be no solution to this problem either, because of there being no laws or government to stop it. Eventually, there will be someone who wants to take over this now chaotic society and rule it, creating a loop.

When it comes to these ideologies in our daily lives, actions that we perform in circumstances may be different from person to person, but usually remain similar between people. To give an example, let’s say you are on the bus and there is an old lady but there are no seats for her to sit in. If you were to give up your seat, this would be a lawful act, considering others, and their needs. To give an example of the chaotic side, if we were to say that there was a home intruder in your house, you would want them to get out, even if you need to inflict harm on the person. This is not a kind or considerate thing to do, but it is required if you want to stay clear of harm to yourself, your house and belongings, or your family and roommates. In other words, both sides are needed and used in our lives on a daily basis.

To conclude, simple actions such as giving up your seat on the bus, or yelling back at someone on the street, can be completely different sides of the kind of person you choose to be. Choosing to act as a chaotic aligned person, can change how you may act around others, or in public, and might be different to someone who does not want to be themselves out of fear of prosecution. This is why humans as a species need to find a way to balance these ideologies. There is no easy way to do it, but I believe that creating the almost perfect world must consist of both chaos, and order, side by side in society today.
