The human body cannot always protect itself, according to this situation diseases can be found in our body. Some of them can be treated by doctors, but some of them cannot. Gene therapy is also one of the methods that the doctors use for some of the diseases. What is gene therapy ? The introduction of nucleic acids into cells for the intention of modifying the course of a medical condition or disease is known as gene therapy. Nucleic acids are DNA molecules that encode gene products or proteins with a few exceptions. This method can conclude the disease in two different ways. It can be done with positive facts, but also it can be concluded with negative results too. As an example for this issue, we can use the doctor's research about cancer with gene therapy. There are advantages of gene therapy as well as disadvantages of it, so  “the way” treating diseases can be resultant with positive cases and negative cases.

Gene therapy is the method to developed for treating the patient with affirmative results by the scientists and doctors. That is why it has lots of advantages for the patient. Gene therapy has the potential to result in a beneficial medical outcome, also gene therapy creates permanent results for people with health problems. Which means after the gene therapy patient will not need to apply any other methods to be healthy anymore. For those conclusions doctors are developing gene therapy especially for treating cancerous cells. For example, cancer occurs as a result of damaged gene sequencing for treating cancer doctors must do some changes with the sequences of the gene. In that case gene therapy gets involved to solve this problem on gene sequence, which means gene therapy fixes the defection on it and that defection will not replay itself, or for a long time. Gene therapy mainly focuses on treating the patient with the least possible damage. This method enables lots of advantages, exclusively for cancer.

All of the treatment methods do not meet expectations when developing. Some of the methods can conclude with negative facts of the treatment. There could be unexpecting immune system reactions, gene therapy can cause a “potential” cancer, or gene therapy does not work on all types of cancer. As an example of these disadvantages when trying to fix the cancerous gene sequence, the gene therapy might defect the healthy cell according to changing the DNA sequence. Due to that fact,it increases the likelihood of “secondary” cancer. The gene therapy can backfire and lead to cancer progression. In that case, trying to treat a cell might make things worse. That is why gene therapy also has disadvantages instead of having hundred percent of advantages for the patient.

All in all, gene therapy is a new method in the medical community, and develops itself with new techniques. Gene therapy attempts to cure sickness or increase your body's ability to fight disease by replacing a broken gene or adding a new gene. On the other hand, by inserting genes into cancer cells, the body's immune system is triggered to fight the cancer cells as foreign intruders. The labor of gene therapy can end up with positive, like completing and repairing DNA with matching/proper nucleoids, or negative effects, like causing secondary cancer which can affect metastasis in the cancerous cell, and these causes determine the advantages or disadvantages of the gene therapy.
