Genetic Engineering is rocking the modern world with a controversy of whether it’s morally correct. This paper’s purpose is to show and explain why Genetic Engineering is for the good of the world. Genetic engineering has been used to experiment on living organisms to modify their traits. Genetic engineering is the process of using rDNA technology to alter the genetic makeup of an organism. Traditionally, humans have manipulated genomes indirectly by controlling breeding and selecting offspring with desired traits. Genetic Engineering is good for many reasons such as being able to reduce disease count and severity, introducing new and better sustenance in food, and possibly the most important,  offering a solution to the problem of our growing population. 

Genetic engineering can help cure several diseases that include cancer, heart disease, and AIDS. Scientists change the way genomes are constructed to terminate certain diseases that occur as a result of genetic mutation. One very popular way of doing this is through CRISPR. CRISPR is a family of DNA sequences found in the genomes of prokaryotic organisms such as bacteria and archaea. One example of this is reprogramming white blood cells to target cancerous cells.

Genetic alteration can make crops grow faster and contain more nutrients. Some benefits of genetic engineering in agriculture are increased crop yields, reduced costs for food or drug production, reduced need for pesticides, enhanced nutrient composition and food quality, resistance to pests and disease, greater food security, and medical benefits to the world's growing population. To produce a GM plant, new DNA is transferred into plant cells. Usually, the cells are then grown in tissue culture where they develop into plants. The seeds produced by these plants will inherit the new DNA.

The other examples of goods produced by genetic engineering, it has helped with the problem of our growing population.

There are a lot of different reasons as to why people are against Genetic engineering. Genetic engineering can be the source of many unexpected new diseases. Like a new bacteria and virus which used the animal as a host. Another reason is the possibility of increased economic inequality accompanied by an increase in human suffering, and the possibility of large-scale eugenic programs and totalitarian control over human lives.

This paper's purpose was to show and explain why Genetic Engineering is for the good of the world. It showed how genetic engineering is good for many reasons such as being able to reduce disease count and severity, introducing new and better sustenance in food, and possibly the most important,  offering a solution to the problem of our growing population. Genetic engineering is a way for the human species to evolve, for the earth to evolve, and for everyone and everything to be better than they were.
