Social Media Should Be Banned In School Persuasive Essay

While a teacher is teaching or going over the could be on the test questions on the test for Social media might have to be one of the most popular download apps from all over the world. Social media is affecting kids' learning process in school. Which means it should be limited at school. And if needed block or banned.and also social media is one of the most popular downloaded apps on a teenager phone. There are a lot of reasons why kids don't focus or learn in class because of social media from being distracted all the way to cyberbullying and influence.

Social media creates easy ways for bullies to do cyberbullying during school. Students can make accounts and post embarrassing videos and pictures of students. This could affect a student because kids hate being the laughing stock  of the school. So imagine being posted on a fake account and you can't do anything about it because you don't know who it is. Cyberbullying would easily lead to these things. However  this could be students not caring about school work not showing up to school, students having depression which leads to something way worse. Let's say this as an example: a bully made a fake account with a fake name and he decided to post a secret of this one kid and he wants no one to know because it's about his parents. Now everyone in school knows and every time he goes to school he gets made fun of by him every….single….time has it say in (Positive and Negative Effects of Social Media on Children) 75 percent of bullying that happens from school comes from social media.However he finds a way to avoid it,his way to avoid it is to not show up to school. Good idea to avoid getting bullied, but now he is not showing up to school so he is not doing homework, tests, school work, and etc. Now he is going to fail and repeat the grade just because of one fake account posting something online where everyone in school can see  

As it states in defendyoungminds social media during class is one of the top reasons why students aren't prepared for tests or do homework. Students will be in class and be on their phone eek week. Students rather know what's going on in their friends' lives than getting a good grade on the test for next week. They will be all good and updated in their friends life but not updated on their good grades for the year. Being too busy on the phone rather than looking on their phone to help them study.

And the most popular reason why people get social media is because they want to be like someone else and just fit in which could also lead to depression. However, trying to fit in can also lead to peer pressure. Peer pressure in school could be completely different, people will post something online saying “ if you go to ms.mac class you're not welcome to this school” some people will listen just to fit in and be cool. Trying to fit in can also lead to kids hating one another, and once a teenager hates one another it's most likely to lead to a fight. That's how most teens settle arguments, and let's say a kid got embarrassed in that fight and it gets on video and it leads all the way  to getting posted online.(The Impact of Social Media on Children) “Using Facebook is also known to lead to a decline in the subjective well-being of youngsters. While social media is one of the most addicting and download apps on our phones. It's also one of the main reasons why kids are not learning better and in peace during school and out of school. Peer pressure, violence, cyberbullying, and fake accounts are the first step of the process for students to not care for school and not caring or can't learn in and out of school. By cancelling or banning social media in school could at least help stop a few of the first steps that are stopping kids from school learning, and could stop a lot more serious reasons.
