An Electric nail gun is a tool used in many construction applications. It is a machine that drives nails into a wall, beam, drywall, wood, or any hard surface (Fig.1). It is used by the user to increase efficiency. There are different models and brands, each one of them focuses on a different aspect of the machine.

There are different types of nail guns. Some are powered by electricity, others are powered by air pressure, a few are powered by gasoline. And strangely enough, some are powered by explosives. The nail gun was invented back in the 1950’s, it was introduced to maximize efficiency and boost productivity. It was invented by Morris Pynoos who was a  civil engineer

Each task requires a different type of a nail gun. Small jobs use different sizes and types of nail guns than heavy duty jobs. For example, a Roofing nailers Gun might be used to nail roofing shingles on the roof. Whereas a Finish Nailers Gun is used for smaller tasks such as installing cabinets or assembling furniture. HOW TO USE AN ELECTRIC NAIL GUN

A nail gun is present in every toolbox in a construction site. A hammer is Also used for light duty tasks. While the nail gun is used for broader and heavy duty projects. Using a handheld hammer, a user can drive 10-15 nails a minute. Whereas a nail gun, it can achieve up to 60 nails per minute. And it can hold up to 600 nails. This spec of the nail gun makes every company want it, because of its ease to use. And it is also safer than a hammer (if used properly). Safety is a major factor when operating an electric nail gun. The user must be fully trained in order to safely and properly work the equipment.

Operation

The user must inspect the tool before using. Check for any damage, corrosion, or dent surfaces. If a fault is found, do not operate the tool.

Before connecting the tool to the power supply, the user should load the nails into the magazine properly. Failure to do so would cause a jam.

Plug into the power source, inspect that the safe mode trigger is still on

Adjust the nail drive knob to the desired nail depth.

Hint: Use an unwanted surface to test for the desired depth.

Locate the surface and aim the nail gun 90 degrees to the work surface.

Unlock the safe mode trigger and fire the nail into the desired location.

In conclusion, the electric nail gun is designed to boost productivity and speed the work task. If used properly, it can finish the task with ease. To avoid any injuries, the user must follow the instructions carefully. Failure to do so would result in an injury.
