Dance is an exemplary example of a perfectly stress-relieving, vigorous, intricate way to spend your free time. By dancing, you can receive so many stresses and it allows you to escape from the reality that is life, it is also very scintillating to participate in. Along with the glorious hobby of dance comes the question of Competitions. In competitions Studios full of very talented dancers come together to compete to see who is the best. Some studios do not participate in competitions because they want to preserve the enjoyment from dancing, however, millions of people around the world participate in Dance competitions because they are great ways for dancers to compare their skills to other dancers, and to get creditable feedback from judges so they can improve their skills. All in all Dance competitions play a very stimulating role in dancers' life.

"When you stumble make it part of the dance and learn to dance in the rain" Every studio that competes in dance competitions has a variety of amazing dancers, but with every studio, they are all taught by the same person so they will more than likely be at the same level. By traveling for miles and miles away from their studio for competitions, dancers meet people who have been taught more differently than they have so their skill level will be different from theirs. By comparing their skill levels dancers can observe and learn how to make their level higher and do better at the next competition, or just dancing in general. They also can see if their skill level is appropriate for their age group. Where a dancer could be doing astonishing in their studio, they could be really behind everyone else their age. Above all, it helps them learn how to improve.

"When you dance it is not your purpose to get a certain place on the floor it is to enjoy every step along the way" After dancers spend their entire life training and practicing for competitions what is left for them when they are no longer physically able? Most provincial dancers go on to judge dance competitions because they know firsthand what the dance is supposed to be and the style of the look. These people include Bruno Tonioli and Craig Hornwood. The judges being former dancers themselves have lots of valuable creditable feedback to the dancers to help them improve. For example, if someone's dance was a happy joyous dance and their face did not show happiness the judge may recommend brightening up facial expression. That small recommendation could improve their dance career.

Clearly after considering my reasons you obviously think that dance competition is beneficial, however, not everyone thinks that way. Some people surmise that Dance is too time-consuming and wastes too much valuable time that could be spent studying for school. They claim that since they spend so much time on the dance they won't have time for school. To a certain extent, they are right however if dancers spend enough time on the dance they can get full dance scholarships from famous universities! It amazes me how people can be so impertinent towards this amazing activity.

After highlighting the many good parts of dance competitions the truth is obvious that dance competitions are beneficial. Despite the very few drawbacks of this exhilarating sport, dance is an amazingly relaxing way to release stress and to focus back on life. While The competition side of things allows for dancers to get feedback to learn how to improve their routine. In view of this dance competitions are very important to a dancer career So next time you are watching T.V and a dance competition come on take a second and give it a chance. It is sure to beguile you.
