St Paul was born in Tarsus Turkey in 4 BCE and passed in Rome, Italy in 62 – 64 CE. St Paul was ethnically Jewish, coming out from a devout Jewish family. St Paul grew up in Jerusalem and was brought up and taught by Gamaliel, who was a leading authority to the Jewish religion’s establishment. St Paul’s was an influential figure in the early years of Christianity. His writings and letters have a significant role in the New Testament.

Paul is considered one of the most influential saints in the world. His writings have greatly influenced the development of the Christian Church since the first century. St Paul was originally known as Saul and he was a Roman citizen, but before St Paul was a Christian, he took part in the persecution of Christians. Life for the early Christians was terrifying and depressing before Saul was converted on the road to Damascus, he was stopped by Jesus and was blinded by a light from heaven. Three days later his vision was restored by the laying of hands of Ananias who was sent by Jesus. Ananias was also instructed to baptise him with the Holy Spirit and to introduce him to other disciples. St Paul’s faith in God was fulsome and powerful. St Paul travelled around the Mediterranean to spread the good news of Christianity and the faith that he had for Jesus Christ.

St Paul helped spread the Christian message to followers and to new believers all over the Roman Empire by taking the message to Jews and other Christians as well as the non-Jews like the Gentiles which is how he helped spread the word of Christianity and the Christian Church. St Paul overcame many obstacles on his journey including – arrested and sentenced to jail, been through the experience of a shipwreck, ancient local patronage, anti-Judaist tendencies, and other financial engagements of the Corinthians. St Paul faced a lot of obstacles on his journeys showing that St Paul has lots of faith in Jesus Christ and he never lost sight of his goal in spreading the good news of the Christian Church.

St Paul was later then baptised by Ananias which was then he then changed his name from Saul to Paul. St Paul then travelled the Mediterranean to spread the good news of the Christian Church and to show his faith in Jesus Christ.
