Observing from the doorway, once a room full of life and laughter had been forgotten and deserted, having eroded away with time, rust and desolation that now remains. A derelict cinema, abandoned and forsaken, now stands alone. No one had dared to enter these doors for many years. Crimson velvet chairs uninhabited, deserted, rejected. The blazing light and eroding floor, the layers of dust on top of chairs, the air trailed through the empty building like a demonic spirit: together it made a sight, an image of misery and unhappiness. Natural spotlights occurred, allowed by the neglected roof, exposing the sky, allowing all weather elements to invade. The building glowed golden, contrasting with the aura of the room. Rose carpet unveiled the unkempt concrete floor, eroding away from mistreatment. Surveying the area she wondered what had happened for it to become so neglected.

Imagining what it once was, she continued to traverse throughout the building, sweet sickly smells of freshly popped popcorn filling the air. The golden embellishments scintillated; embedded spotlights gleamed, lining the rows of sublime vermilion seats. The building shuddered with each sway of the wind, the air was damp and muggy, the ceiling tiles that were once there had collapsed on the seats below, all in sight was decaying. Dust particles hovered, dancing in the natural occurring spotlights, the beams focused on centre stage. Her gaze was transfixed upwards, a chandelier of cobwebs glistened, taking the place of what once was there.

Eventually she finished surveying her surroundings, she followed the path she previously took. Gazing around one last time, the rustic rose chairs, the golden canopy that draped the room, all was a vision. Leaving the beaming bright radiating sun blinded her, shocking her eyes. Fresh air, pure and clean, her senses were overjoyed, contrasting with what was inside. The shutters had been drawn, the windows boarded, all that happened had been forgotten. The thought of what memories were made inside those doors, the films shown, happiness and laughter, all had turned into a derelict building, isolated in time
