I never imagined that I would have to bring up the Holocaust again.

I was cut off from my family for the rest of my life. I could never have dreamed it would be the final time I saw them. Even though it ended a long time ago  I never expected to have to talk about it again after the ordeal.

Everything was in disarray. Ghettos were established, and many Jews were slaughtered. But if that wasn't bad enough, the detention camps' vulnerable inmates were subjected to lethal medical experiments. Various doctors were involved in the planning of these horrific experiments. Several experiments were carried out.

We watched in fear as they raided the ghettos and evacuated our apartment. As they fled through the ghettos, many attempted to run, hide or swallow all their jewelry by tying it to bread and swallowing it. Pictures of our loved ones, along with jewelry, were packed in a suitcase. The suitcase was taken from us while we were leaving the building, and everything inside was thrown out onto the ground.

Our identity cards had to be shown and if we didn't have them, we would be shot dead right on the spot. We were walking on dead bodies, there were puddles of blood everywhere.

Many attempted to hide, but only those in the bunkers succeeded. Those who tried to hide in the sausage were caught mid-way and killed. While I was separated from my family, I was scared, frightened, and my body was shaking out of fear. All around me, men, women, and children were being killed.

The soldiers divide Jews between men and women, separating crying families and children. Anyone who refuses to cooperate will be shot dead.

Seeing my people thrown to the ground, beaten, beaten, mothers losing their children, men losing their families and killed, I stood there in the middle of all of it not knowing what to do. It was a horrifying experience. We were treated like animals like we didn't mean anything. They took pleasure in killing us. As they killed my people, some smiled and laughed, while others snapped photos to send home.

Soldiers took groups of people lined up to be shot, for what reason? For no apparent reason other than pure hatred, I stood there trembling, fearful that I would be next. Thankfully, I wasn't, because I ran away without anyone noticing me see or leave. My heart was racing as I panicked; I was terrified, and fear was all over my body.

Many people scrambled to hide until the soldiers left. Many men equipped with loaded guns escorted us and were ready to kill us. At that moment somebody told me it was just a game. Don't be scared, it's just a game

I stood there with my ears covered because I was terrified, and I pondered what we might have done in the past to make these people hate us so much. I begged and pleaded to him, "Why are we brought here to be persecuted, slain, and mistreated?" They are taught in schools to despise us and what we did to deserve this.
