Technology has taken over our world. While technology has assisted humanity with numerous breakthroughs and conveniences, it also has some negative implications for our children.

Children as young as two can be seen playing with a cellphone or viewing a cartoon on a tablet.

Technology has made it convenient to keep our children occupied while we tend to our everyday tasks. While children seem entertained using devices such as tablets, television, cellphones, and computers, many studies show that these devices may have negative effects. Although it can enhance our learning experience, children can become dependent and reliant on a daily basis.

Excessive use of technology can be harmful to kids. A young person who spends too much time on devices may become isolated and fail to acquire typical communication skills including speaking, listening, and eye contact. They may also be more impulsive, temperamental, and have trouble concentrating. They may suffer from social anxiety as a result of a lack of social skills, and they are more prone to show boredom or dissatisfaction at school.

A child's ability to recognize social signs may also be impaired, and he or she may be less attentive. Owing to poor social skills, a youngster may shun social interaction in order to spend more time with electronic gadgets, or may utilize the device to avoid social settings due to social anxiety.

There's a lot of negative influence and the children can intake false information that is constantly exposed to children and therefore they can grow up with an untrue mindset, The brain is still developing in children, making it more receptive to environmental stimuli. The brain's executive function can also be harmed. The ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and regulate urges are all executive functions. The frontal lobe is the part of the brain that handles executive functions and cognitive abilities including judgment and emotional management.

Our world has been taken over by technology, If you think your child may already be addicted to electronic devices, it’s not too late to start making positive changes in your child’s life. Plan a family fun night that does not include electronic devices, take your child out take show them historic experiences rather than giving them a tablet, Also, be a good model; limit yourself when using electronics in front of your children.
