Toy Story shines at its historical significance. This 77-minute film took over 800,000 computer hours of work and 4 years of designing to make it happen. Animated films gained popularity after Disney released the seven dwarfs in 1993 a human-made animated feature film yet the toy story was different. They didn't use humans, they used machines to make the film. This was the first-ever feature-length animated film produced by machine animation. Groundbreaking technology was introduced for the first time and since Disney has used computers for the majority of the animated shorts and films of today. Some might say that animated style is the same. The only difference is what produced it, hand drawings or a computer. Toy Story was the first animated film on a computer but not the first animated film the technology producing that movie was groundbreaking as now they can push the computers to do crazier things and put out higher quality movies as time goes forward.

Over time this movie has gained popularity however many things about it have stuck through. “There's a snake in my boot” That quote from Toy Story has gained massive popularity, Many people thought America would be able to recognize that almost instantly. That's not the only cultural impact; there was a famous scene from the movie where Woody, one of the characters, tells the other buzz that an alien makes him look and be fooled. That famous scene has been remembered by millions of people. Some might say that the cultural impact of Toy Story wasn't exactly the movie but the characters inside of it. Woody and Buzz the two most popular characters from Toy Story were built from the first movie and up, Toy Story has remembered the way it is because of the impact that the first released movie had, and anything different would have been a completely different outcome.
