People are always looking forward to their vacation period. There are many options where to choose. I think that the two most common places people choose for taking a vacation are the beaches and the mountains. Both places offer a variety of fun activities. Spending a vacation in the mountains is different from spending a vacation at the beach. The beach offers activities that the mountain cannot offer and vice versa. The mountains and the beach are different in climate, types of activities and locations. 

Climate is always important in order to enjoy vacations in the mountains especially if they like cold weather.  High attitudes must be considered for vacationing in the mountains. If a person dislikes cold weather, he or she might have a hard time in the mountains so a warm climate would be a better choice. Beaches are the most popular choices for fun in the sun, but everyone would need to invest in sunscreen.

The mountains and the beaches offer many activities. The cold climate temperatures in the mountains determine the types of activities they offer. Snowboarding, mountain climbing, mountain biking, hiking, and skiing are some activities people can enjoy when going to the mountains. The sea and the warm climate determine the activities that are available at the beach. People can swim, play volleyball, play soccer, and ride water bikes. Both would have restaurants to offer native cuisine or food chains menus. Both the mountains and the beaches offer many activities.

Whether choosing the mountains or the beaches, location has to be considered. There are many regions that have mountains where people can go and have a great vacation. Northern United States and Canada contain many mountain vacation sites where people can go and have fun. For a beach vacation, you would choose a southern location. Southern United States and Mexico offer many amazing coastal sites to visit. Acapulco and Cancun are two of the most beautiful and famous beaches in the word. Location is a matter of personal choice.

It doesn’t matter what place a person decides to choose. The fun is 100% guaranteed. People often choose one of these two options to spend their vacations because of the weather, their interest in fun, and the direction they want to travel.
