What makes one book interesting? We Were Liars, the tragic yet beautiful book written by E. Lockhart, captivated the reader so well that made the one who read the book so interested! Going into the book without any expectations about it, amazed me very well in a very positive way.

A great outlook on an event of this book in the first part was her memory loss and how she could not remember anything about the accident. It was a greatly enjoyed thing about this book just because of how Cady disappeared into her imaginary world when her migraines became too severe or when her surroundings became too confusing for her. In that way, we got to know her character a bit better in a good way. Although she was in pain and dealing with a loss at the time, she relied on her liars to somehow improve herself to a safer place. This adds to the positive aspect of the book, which is very enjoyable as a reader because it puts me in a position to experience every detail for myself to theorize what happened to her. The writing style in this book is so strikingly beautiful for that very reason!

In my book we were liars makes you kind of step back to what happened throughout the book, which makes the writing sort of appealing for the reader to continue. E.Lockhart did an amazing job describing every detail well. Not only did she write a riveting book which was a real nail biter! But she also brought up important events such as privilege, Cadence was privileged, but she still managed to not be deemed as one of them, and that is why this quote shows how she didn’t want to be like one of them, you can’t judge the book by its cover because of that, ‘’My full name is Cadence Sinclair Eastman, and contrary to the expectations of the beautiful family in which I was raised, I am an arsonist. A visionary, a heroine, a rebel’’. Even if you can't see everything too clearly, still it was not hard to theorize why she acted as she did and what would happen to Cadence or what has happened to her, and what the tragic event in her life was.

Since it was not hard to theorize about what had happened, we could surmise that even though the Liars were bad for her they made her realise the reality of the world even if they only were ghosts. Which was one thing enormously enjoyed about this book, because it showed the characters were so much more than just her liars. It made her very happy to be with them, despite all the dark things she went through at times, because they were like two peas in a pod. For example, Gat is the one character who is special, he is the one that makes the four liars overbearing the rules of the Sinclairs and instead be more normal. He is the one who messes up the Sinclair family effectively in a good way. He forces them to consider the reality where they push it behind them, which makes this book vivid!

In brief, We Were Liars, the tragic yet beautiful novel by E. Lockhart captured the reader enough to make them curious. Is not just a thrill; but also a highly satisfying book! Going into the book with no preconceived notions, being surprised in a really pleasant way with Cadence being lucky, and yet she managed to not be labelled as one of them which the writer portrays beautifully.
