What Fictional Character Do You Most Relate To ?
As I lay in bed counting the stars my projector displayed I thought about this question “What fictional character do you most relate to ?”. After thinking of every fictional character possible it clicked the fictional character I relate most to is Tiana from The Princess and The Frog. You may be wondering how exactly do you relate most to Tiana as well as what made you pick Tiana. Some background on Tiana is that she’s a girl who dreams big and hopes for nothing but success. Tiana and James, who is Tiana’s father, cook together and make amazing food for the community. At the beginning of the movie, Tiana and her parents have an important talk about the world. Her father James wanted to open a restaurant of their own someday. Throughout the movie, Tiana is working to make it happen.
A way I relate to Tiana is the important talks James gave her. My mom always gives me talks like the one Tiana's dad gave her at the beginning of the movie. Her father told her to promise him to never lose sight of what's really important. My mom always tells me that I shouldn't let anything distract me from getting to where I want to be. She always tells me that I need to work hard for what I want and that I can't let others pull me back. Her talks teach me that I need to be the best me I can be. So instead of wasting 14 years of school, I wish to further my education. My mother told me that you have to live every second of your life like it's your last and ever since I've made sure to make every moment memorable.
In addition to that relation Tiana wants to become someone big and make her parents proud. I hope that one day I can repay my mom for everything she’s done because she has always been there for me and provided so much even when she didn't have it. I know that I will never be able to repay her so instead I hope that someday I can make her proud because she’s worked so hard raising me and has also had high expectations so she deserves a successful daughter who teaches those expectations.
Lastly Tiana and her father are always baking together. My mother and I always bake together; maybe one day we can open our own bakery. Bonding with your parents is very important because you never know what could happen. People take advantage of life and don't realize that it can all end in a matter of seconds. So you have to make every moment memorable. You also have to remember that every moment in life is important and you wanna live it to the fullest. One day everything could change and what you can do now could be taken from so don't take life for granted.
In conclusion, I relate to Tiana in many ways but those are some ways. Thank you for considering me as a candidate of the Honors or Scholars program.
