To my understanding Consciousness is the inner thoughts of oneself. The voice inside that guides you to have the awareness of your surroundings or oneself. There are many ways to interpret Consciousness, Joseph Campbell explains it uses a coconut tree as an example that even trees know where they are and that animals also have consciousness. He also related when you eat the stomach knows what to do. We are the center of the earth and the voice. David Chalmers explains that without consciousness. then there is no meaning in our lives. They base the inner subjective movie on what we remember and what we play in our thoughts. Overall consciousness is what we are experiencing right now. There are many types: consciousness, dreams, hallucinations, hypnosis, meditation, sleep and states induced by psychoactive drugs. The question I ask myself is “How are people still conscious in a coma?”. Being in a coma your mind is an asleep or on-off mood to help your body recover faster and stronger, but what makes your consensus?

If a person is in a coma, their mind is still working to help heal the body. “In a coma, much like during sleep or anesthesia, a person is neither awake nor aware. They lie with their eyes closed and are not conscious of themselves or their surroundings. Unlike people who are sleeping, they cannot wake patients in comas cannot be woken up with the sound, shaking, pain, or any other environmental stimuli. This period of unconsciousness is prolonged, but normally patients gradually awaken and recover in 2-4 weeks.” A coma is one of several disorders of consciousness, in the mind, it is of one’s mental mindset and one’s memories in their minds that they make when awake or in their sleep, you will experience things or expressed. If you truly want to understand what consciousness is you have to understand the physiology part to truly understand it, “what is consciousness in psychology? Consciousness is one of the most difficult terms to define. You can define consciousness in psychology simply as awareness, but that doesn't give a complete picture. It's awareness of your internal processes like thinking, feeling, sensing, and perceiving. It knows who you are and what you possess.” It knows what you are processing when you are awake and alert.

Philosophers studied consciousness for thousands of years and placed this topic under psychology, philosophy, and biology. A French philosopher named Re1ne Descartes “introduced the concept of mind-body dualism or the idea that while the mind and body are separate, they do interact.”  In a state, of self-awareness when awake and based on a mental state in one mind when conscience. Exactly what does being consciously aware of your or one’s mental state is?, “Consciousness of the meta-mental sort may well involve not only an increase in self-awareness but also an enhanced understanding of the mental states of other minded creatures, especially those of other members of one's social group.” Consciousness has been sound for thousands of years but we are still trying to fully understand why we have both conscious and subconscious. The Subconscious is part of the mind of which one is not fully aware but which influences your mind has.

To have a conscious mind, you also need a subconscious mind and a preconceived mind, these are the three conscious of the mind. Consciousness is the first one in one’s mind thoughts, memories, feelings, and wishes of which we are aware. It is the aspect of our mental processing that we can think about, talk about rationally, and incurs our memory. Consciousness can be retrieved easily and brought into awareness. Next is precocious, preconscious is anything that is processed in the conscious mind. The Subconscious is where the mind is where we reserved our feelings, thoughts, urges, and memories that are outside of our conscious mind. To understand preconscious  “They often referred this to as available memory. For example, you are presently not thinking about your mobile telephone number, but now you can recall it with ease. Mild emotional experiences may be in the preconscious, but sometimes traumatic and powerful negative emotions repressed and hence not available in the preconscious.” it all depends on what you are experiencing in all three conscious minds and all based on psychology. We still do not fully understand, but we can work on fringing it out and studying the mind.

In conclusion, the c-word has multiple meanings and definitions. They mainly based it on psychology and philosophy for thousands of years, but we still need more to understand. There is too much to continue learning and understand what it is. So what is consciousness? Overall, we can only use our imagination to think about what the C-word is in our own words,  as the definition states "consciousness is the minded thoughts, memories, feelings, and wishes that we experience at the moment we are living.
