What makes a strong leader? Many people think of being assiduous, genuine, indefatigable, and cooperative when working with others. Although these traits are difficult to come across, I believe I have demonstrated them throughout my past three years attending O’Leary. It is undeniable being on the Leadership Team will take hard work and dedication. However,  I am confident I am a strong leader that is capable of maintaining and promoting the continuity of our school’s positivity and pride.

There is no doubt that my experiences have helped shape me into the person and leader I am today. Being elected student council president in 5th grade was what first led me to develop a love for helping others and leading them to succeed. Additionally, the opportunity to be Primetime Representative for the past two years has caused me to acquire necessary skills such as being attentive, selfless, and conscientious in all aspects of my life. Currently, I serve as co-captain on the OMS dance team. Fulfilling this role has allowed me to become a role model for my teammates and motivate them before practice, games, and competition. I believe this experience has taught me the most as it has made me realize the true value of teamwork.

As a result of these responsibilities, I have acquired strengths that have built me into a devout leader. I am affable, compassionate, resilient, and reliable. I try my best to make others feel comfortable and let them feel like they can rely on me whenever they need it. Staying on top of things and actively participating are things that I value. One of my biggest strengths, however, is simply being kind. I think it is so important to make everyone feel comfortable and valued no matter what. This is one of the most important factors to consider when working with a team.

Lastly, I will benefit the Leadership Team by bringing my ideas and outgoing attitude into the team. I hope to motivate my team members and for us to support each other in all we do. I know that with the right mindsets and teamwork, we can all encourage and motivate the rest of the student body to achieve incredible things. Going into this team, I hope to gain knowledge and more experience that will help me throughout the rest of my life.

Ultimately, I am confident that I would be a beneficial asset to the Leadership Team. My strengths, experiences, and goals for myself and the team will allow me to be in the right mindset to be a part of it. The qualities and attributes I possess allow me to cooperate with my teammates and develop my skills as a person as well as a leader. Conclusively, I know with a surety I would be an invaluable part of the Leadership Team.
