In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Juliet is most to blame because she hated the thought of marrying Paris that she didn’t love and was willing to take a chance of dying in order not to marry him. “I will not marry yet, and when I do, I swear, it shall be Romeo whom you know I hate, rather than Paris.” This shows that Juliet did not want to marry at the start of the story, and she would rather marry Romeo instead of Paris. This is important because at first Juliet didn’t like Paris but when she met Romeo, she fell in love with him, and she decided she wanted to be with him.

Another reason Juliet is most to blame because she faked her own death leading to Romeo’s death and then Juliet killed herself. “I have a faint cold fear thrills through my veins, that almost freezes up the heat of life: I’ll call them back again to comfort me.” This shows that Juliet feels the dread of her death, and she feels as though she is freezing from the inside. This is important because Juliet chooses to kill herself after she found Romeo dead because she loved him, and he is the only man she wanted to be with.

The final reason Juliet is most to blame because her desperation for Romeo’s love and her doubts. “O happy dagger, this is thy sheath.” This shows that Romeo was the only thing that mattered to her, and she was going to do anything to be with him and would risk her life to be with him. This is important because she will do anything to be with Romeo.

In conclusion, Juliet is most to blame because she hated the thought of marrying Paris that she didn’t love, and she was willing to take a chance on dying to not marry him, she faked her own death which made Romeo kill himself and then Juliet killed herself and her desperation for Romeo and doubts.
