Never giving up will benefit over timefuture, and your hard work will most definitely pay off. You're more likely to achieve your dreams if you continue to pursue them. Giving up will get you nowhere in life, you're absolutely not going to succeed in your dreams, and you will regret it for the rest of your life. This dream could be a dream job or an achievement.

When someone has a dream or a direction in life, it will not just magically appear, it actually has to be worked at, It needs to be pursued like life depends upon it because, in reality, it truly does. You have to continue to work at this until you achieve perfection, and perfection is the epitome of the dream. A wise man once said that if you work at something you love, you will never work a day in your life. That is exactly what a dream job is. However, the dream job will not just be handed to you. You have to prove you are capable of doing what is required. That requirement needs to be practiced. If you give up each time you mess up, you will never achieve success. Success means you keep trying until you achieve your goal. If I gave up each time I didn’t do well on my essays, my teachers will make me keep doing them until I get it correct. Football quarterbacks get tackled many times in their careers. Sometimes they even get hurt, but they get up, shake it off and move on. If they gave up the first time they got tackled or the second or even the third, they wouldn't be able to professionally play the game they so obviously love. (I can see no other reason for enduring the physical punishment except for love of the game other than money).

If you are looking for a specific achievement, once again it will not be merely given to you. You have to pursue it with every ounce of strength in your mind. You have to get up one more time than you fail. In the story “The Book Scavenger” by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman, Emily kept mulling over the clues to the hidden puzzles and each clue led to another. If she gave up after the first clue, she would not be able to solve the puzzles included in the books and stories she read. If that happened I don’t think she would enjoy the stories nearly as much as she appears to. Emily and James kept deciphering codes given by their classmates toward the end of getting a reward from their teacher. If they threw in the towel, the reward would be lost to them.

In order to gain anything in life, whether it be a dream job, achievement or anything else, you must keep chasing the dream. If not, you may just live to regret it.
