Imagine how people would react if they found out the whole world was fake, you realize everyone you knew was lying to you. Well, that had happened to one fictional man before and that was a star in a reality tv show Truman, a man who struggled to live authentically and who was only free in his adulthood. That would be the opposite of living authentically. That would also be impossible, however, there are still people that don't live authentically and need to learn how. To live authentically a person must first find out where they are mentally, and where they want to be. Only after finding that, can a person truly feel fulfilled. This is an okay introduction but you can include some more contextual details about the film.

People will often think about their present, they will constantly look at their life, criticizing and regretting everything that they do. An example of this takes place in the Truman Show when the main character Truman becomes self-aware that people are watching him, so he starts saying irrelevant things that make no sense to his current situation, this is in correlation to the idea that people think about their reality and present. If something that feels very rare and that has a low probability will always make you think if there was reasoning, maybe it was done on purpose An example of this in the truman show is when Truman is driving down a street and the radio starts narrating his every action, or when a stage light falls from the sky, and is later told to be a fake airplane part. For some reason when people make a decision it normally feels good at the time but often it turns out to be the wrong decision, for example in the Truman show how Truman regrets the choice of marrying Marol and wishes he and followed Sylvia because the movie consistently cuts to his past of Sylvia memories. Truman also has a piece of paper with Sylvia's face on it that he scavenged out of magazines.  So, are you suggested that Truman realizes that he’s not living out his true desires?  Make sure you connect this back to your thesis statement.  It seems that this paragraph focuses on relationships.

A person will commonly think about where they will be in the future, or where they would have been if things were different. So many people have boring lives and they tend to be very unhappy, people that have bad jobs, or people who don't have friends. For example in the Truman show the main character Truman is unsatisfied with his 9-5 desk job and he wants more preferably an explorer as he said in the film. Instead, Truman is thinking about how he wants to visit Sylvia in Fiji and find his lost love by doing this. Truman is looking into what he wants to be in his future. People also tend to think about how they will be or look in the future like Trumandid. Another thing Truman thinks about is if he had followed Sylvia or been with Sylvia how his life would have been different. People probably relate to that when they think about some of their life-defining decisions and wonder what could have been different. Connect specifically back to your thesis.  It seems that this paragraph focuses on traveling / adventure.

When people realize that they have not been living authentically, or they have been living wrong, they often find a way to live more authentically. People tend to realize when something is different, sometimes the human eye can recognize the slightest change in something, for example in the Truman show, Truman realizes that things are odd and, like when all of the cars pull onto the road at the same time as if it was planned. So Truman had decided to plan an escape but he did it as if someone was watching him. So he set up a fake Truman under the covers and dug his way out of the house. Another example is when Truman yells to the sky from the boat as if he knew that someone could hear him and he was right because Christof who was otherwise “god” sent wind and lightning at him to stop him from sailing away. If a person is confronted with the knowledge that could change their life, they will almost always deeply think of both outcomes before making a decision especially if someone is persuading them. An example of this is when Truman’s boat crashes into the wall of the dome and he gets a shock to his system, he had just found out so much about his life, for example, he it could be very important like how he is extremely special or something small like how his trip to Mount Rushmore was fake, there are no words on how he probably felt. But it was not the hard part, he had to choose between the world Christof made him and the real world. And what does he choose?  How can you connect this back to living authentically?

If people don't live authentically I think they need to fix something in their life, do something like looking at your current life and ask yourself if you are happy, or if there is something you want to change. If there is a look forward into your life, what do you see? Do you see yourself happy then? If after that you realize that you're not living as authentically as possible then do something about it, don't just sit there.
