The benefits of The Great Wall of China did not outweigh the costs because of the death rate, harsh conditions, and forced labor that the workers had to endure through building the wall. 

The privileges of the Great Wall of China did not balance the resources of building the wall because of the high mortality rate of the lower-class workers. According to Document C, the workers must work to exhaustion to make silk and they will not get anything out it. The Han paid tribute to the Xiongnu Mongols.According to Document F, the workers fight for their country south of the wall but they die north of the wall and if they are working on building the Great Wall of China, their crops will not be harvested and the people of the Qin Dynasty cannot keep having to risk lives for a failed attempt at protection. The benefits of the Great Wall of China do not outweigh the cons because the death of a human being is irreplaceable and the person will never come back to serve, and the Qin dynasty will eventually run out of available workers.  This is important because it diminishes the development of the Qin dynasty because many lower classes jobs are now vacant and the demand for farmers is high without farmers, they cannot have a surplus amount of food to trade with other civilizations and also lessens the number of cultures they are exposed to . 

 The benefits of The Great Wall of China do not outweigh the costs because of the harsh conditions the workers have to endure . According to Document A demonstrates that the Great Wall of China was constructed in parts with the Qin dynasty being 1,500 miles long and the Ming dynasty being the current length. According to Document E, it states that both the Qin and Han dynasties ordered soldiers to work on the Great Wall of China and they were not treated fairly and were not composted for their hard work. The benefits of the Great Wall of China does not prevail over the costs because these builders were forced to leave their family and experience extreme hunger and thirst as well as illness, extreme temperatures, and even death. This shows that the workers had to go through harsh conditions in order to build the Great Wall of China, as they have minimal protection and will not work as efficiently and be prone to sickness or even death and this is no way to treated workers. This is significant since it contributes to the overall descent of the development of the Qin Dynasty since most of the people working on the wall are people that are on the lower level in the social structure due to this most farmers will not be able to work on harvest season and there will be a decrease in trade and even a probable internal fall. 

The benefits of the Great Wall of China  do not outweigh the costs because of the forced labor and tribute they had to pay. According to Document D, Wu Di assigned thousands of soldiers and builders to watch the outposts and watchtowers to protect the many merchants and caravans traveling on the trade routes. These workers that were assigned to the duties had no free will to decline or accept the job. According to Document B, people from the lower class should be settled along the border to grow food grains since many farmers were working on the Great Wall of China. This expresses that the benefits of the Great Wall of China because  this unjust labor was the main factor for thousands of deaths. These soldiers were forced against their will to complete unthinkable tasks with nothing in return. This contributes to the overall decline in the growth of the Qin dynasty because of the lack of human capital and if people are working to the point of exhaustion, they could pass away which will not help the variety of jobs and will under populate the Qin Dynasty.
