Who was Jesus? The new Adam, The new Moses, The new David, Son of the Virgin Mary, or was he Lamb and Word of God? The correct answer is He was, in fact, all of them. Born of the Virgin Mary and Son of God, he came to this earth to save all of us from ourselves. He came to this earth, and in doing that, relieved us from all of the original sin that came to us after Adam had betrayed God all those years ago. With returning, He gave us a new set of rules to add on to the ones that Moses had given us after his encounter with God. Jesus taught us all about the amazing works of His Father, and showed us what our life would look like if we followed and helped preach the word of God. He is also the Incarnation of God, He came to earth in human form and was able to show us all of the amazing things that God did. He also performed many miracles to show us that He was the true savior and messiah.

Many ask “why should we care about Him?” We should care about Him because He came to save us all from our sin and from the people whom we have persecuted for being different. When Jesus came to our world He helped open our eyes to the people that would always be there and not judge us because of the way we look, act, or think. In a way He showed us the “good people” of this horrific world. In opening our eyes He also showed us how to forgive and respect the people that hurt us or others. He taught us that feeling hatred toward others is not always the best solution for us to turn to. When Jesus started preaching about The Word, one day He saw Mary Magdalen on the verge of being stoned because of what she did as her profession. He told the guards that whoever hadn’t committed a sin could throw the first stone and they just stood there. Jesus then wrote something in the sand and they all left, (John 8:7). The point of that story is that he had no judgment of hatred for Mary Magdalen in that moment because we all make mistakes in our life. Thinking back on that story though, Jeus could have been the first one to throw the stone because He has never committed a sin, but He didn't. He knew that she deserved a second chance in changing her ways. She then joined Jesus in the preaching of the Word and was there for Him when He needed her to be. He showed us that it is fine to be different from others and that we should embrace it. He told us how if you ever feel alone you can always turn to God, no matter how you feel God will never turn His back on us. Jesus showed that he could forgive many including Judas who had turned Him into the Roman soldiers. Judas did it for money, but feeling guilty gave it back. Jesus forgave Judas after turning Him in because He knew that just being mad at him wouldn’t have fixed the fact that he was going to be crucified, (Matthew 26:15). Peter betrayed Jesus too by denying the fact that he knew who Jesus was when he was asked about it three times. Each time Peter said “No, I do not know this Man”, he then walked away and felt guilty to the fact that he had just denied Christ like Jesus said he would, (John 18:13-27)

When Jesus was here He added on to the rules to help us with our morals and lead us down the right pathway for which we should love and respect God. The two most important commandments are Love God above all things and love your neighbor. They are the most important ones because we need to trust and love God and when He says love your neighbor, He really means your enemy. When adding on to these commandments Jesus knew that He had to keep those two in His mind so that we never lose sight of God and what He wanted to teach us.  These new rules are called the beatitudes and Christians today still follow them, along with the commandments. With the beatitudes and commandments in mind He performed amazing miracles. Physical healings, Natural healings, Exorcism, and Rising of the Dead are all the types of miracles that He performed. One of the best examples of a Physical Healing miracle is when He made a blind man see. One day he was called to a house to help an elderly man, this man was blind so Jesus touched the elderly man's eyes and then he was all of a sudden capable of seeing. The man and all the others at the house were all so grateful to Him (Mark 10:49). One of the most famous Natural miracles was at the Marriage in Cana. When the wedding had run out of food and drinks Jesus gave them bread and turned water into wine. Jesus actually didn’t want to perform this miracle; it was his mother who told him that he had to. He was in fact annoyed with this, but did it to please his mother (John 2:1).

The most important thing that Jesus did for us was die on the cross. After all of the torcher and all the feelings that he felt toward the ones that were doing that to Him, He still forgave them. When dying He was tempted to just stop it because He was the Son of God, but He knew that He had to fulfill what He was called to do by His Father, (Luke 23: 34-46). His Journey was long, hard, and horrendous but He continued on with it because He wanted us to know that he will always do what is right and will alway do what He needs to be able to help us. He wants us to remember two things if that's all we can take away from His story, love everyone because hatred will make life worse, and that he did everything for us and no one or nothing else. This story to me is so inspiring because it makes me realize that hatred is a strong thing and just because you are annoyed or are having certain feelings toward someone it is never worth wishing hater upon that person. Jesus had been betrayed, beaten physically, and beaten mentally, but He always forgave no matter the situation. Hatred never came from Him, only love and forgiveness.
