The famous tale of Romeo and Juilet is known by many people across the world. People all have their  opinions on who is to blame on Romeo and Juliet's death. Some people may say society is to blame, Some may say that it was Romeo and Juilets fault because they were so impatient. But in my opinion Friar Lawrence made Romeo and Juliet kill themselves. There are many reasons to prove this such as he didn't tell Romeo that Juliet was still alive, Came up with a plan without thinking it through, Trusted himself that nothing bad would happen. Therefore these reasons show that Friar Lawrence is at fault and heres why.

Friar lawrence was to blame because he had many faults in his plan and he didn't think it through, This is also evident to the play because this makes a huge turn in the plot of the story as it makes a chance for Romeo and Juilet to get married and live together (which does not happen). This can be proven from the text when it states“ And I will do it without fear or doubt, To live an unstain'd wife to my sweet love. Thou shalt continue two and forty hours, And then awake as from a a pleasant sleep.” It shows how cocky he was in his plan and he was 100% sure that it would work with no problems in the end, He also made sure the Juliet would be a bride. It proves it because he says “And I will do it without fear or doubt, To live an unstained wife to my sweet love.” Which show hes very confident that he will succeed for such a plan made in short time and with no thinking. Another point is in Act 5 Scene 3 Friar urges Juilet to get up as he heard a noise in the tomb. This shows he wasn't expecting this to happen and he knows he should have thought about it more about it because now hes in a lot of trouble. if Friar took more time to think about the plan and make a plan B or a safeproof plan then it might have worked,But he to put little to no effort or thought into the plan and he knows this too. This is showing that Friar needed more time in his plan and more effort and in the end it ended with his and Romeo and Juliet's demise because he rushed the plan and didn't think it through.

So with these reasons, This should prove that Friar Lawrence should be guilty for the deaths of Romeo and Juilet. Even though some may not blame him for this because he was just trying to help he should have thought about his plan and told Romeo so he wouldn't have gone there and killed himself because he would have known that shes not dead and wait for her to wake up, from one small mistake he killed two people and ruined his own life.  In conclusion these reasons are why Friar Lawrence should have been blamed for the deaths of Romeo and Juilet.
