Injustice In The Holocaust (Free Essay Sample)

The Holocaust was a tragic  event that took place in the continent of Europe.The Holocaust started when Germany invaded Poland and Jews were forced to live in protected areas call “Ghettos” .The Germans constructed over 44,000 incarceration sites which had detention centers forced labor camps and killing centers,and they made it just to make Jews forcefully work for them and for the Nazis  to kill Jews.Jews were being mistreated by the Nazis and were also given many restrictions by the Nazis , They  restricted the jews to do many of the basic things.All of these events took place during the years of 1935 to 1945 during these years the Jews were under the  Germans  and Jews did everything the Nazis wanted them to do.  In What ways was injustice demonstrated through the events of the Holocaust you may ask well there were many ways injustice was shown during the events of the Holacaust some of the many ways would be when the Nazis were abusing the Jews ,The Nazis doing unreasonable actions and causing the death of more than 6 million Jews just because the Jews were “less” than them or because they didnt consider the Jews to be humans.

One of the many ways injustice was demonstrated through the events of the Holocaust was abuse the Jewish people had to go through abuse from the kappos,the ss officers,the germans just because of their relegion,Their culture.The Jews had to support being transported through cattle cars which has tight space they had to support being beaten by the people who believe their  superior and they had to go through suffocation  and those are just some of the numerous ways they were abused.For Example in the text night it says“ The next morning, we walked toward the station, where a convoy of cattle cars was waiting.The hungarian police made us climb into the cars,eighty persons in each”The Jewish were made travell in cattle cars by the germans in order to get transported to the concentration camps with out them knowing where they were going to while travelling in the cattle cars they had 80 people in each cart in they were forced to travell in a car that animals get transported in were all the animal smell and animal poop was in.They were beaten by the kappos and the people who were watching them For instance  in the text night it says “He took his time between lashes” it also say “the kapos were beating us again but i no longer felt the pain” Ellie got beaten by one of the people who watched them because ellie saw something he wasn't supposed to see and supposedly he wasn't working when he was supposed to and they beat him up up to the point he fainted also when in the text it said the kappos were beating us again but i no longer felt pain this is suggesting that they had been beaten numerous times.Another example of the abuse they had to go through  was when they were suffocating in the movie Schiendlers list some people weren't able to breath when they were in the cattle car because of how tight  and how little the windows were  also in the book night it says “lying down was not an option, nor could we all sit down. We decided to take turns sitting.There was little air. This shows how they were denied basic human rights and they weren't able to breathe and in such tight space and they were denied air as a way to hurt/abuse them that resulted in many people dying because of lack of air.

Another example  of the injustice they made would be that,  the Nazis made many unreasonable actions that resulted to actions that demonstrated dehumanization .The Germans made unlimited actions that demonstrated dehumination and some  of the many action would be the Nazis throwing  children into the pit of fire alive and burning them also  forcing the Jews out of their homes and making them leave all their valuables behind and also made them chose in between pride or religion hoping they lose faith in their religion and choose their pride over there religion.The Nazis made horrible actions one of the worst one would be throwing children into fire One example would be in the novel night it said “A truck drew close and unloaded its hold: small children thrown into the flames” they threw kids into the fire with no remorse they had kids in a truck separated from their families and while the Jews were in a line waiting to find out wether they were going to the crementory or to the camps a truck full of kids was thrown into fire without their parents knowing,Nazis killed the kids just because they knew that the kids wont be able to work like their parents and they thought the kids would be “useless” and they needed the Jews to do labor for them.Another evidence would be from the text night when it said “Never shall i forget the small faces of the children whose bodies I saw transformed into the smoke under a silent sky” demonstrating that the children being brutally murdered and visible and on display for everyone including there families to see them being burned.The Nazis forced the Jews out of their homes where  they made their  memories and possibly grew up in, for example it is shown in the movie Schiendlers list the German officers kicked everyone out of their home and didn't let them take any valuables with them or any of their personal belongings the Germans didnt care wether the house was theres or not they kicked everyone out and stayed with other people homes and belongings they didn't care whether they were old,young babies they kicked everyone out of their own homes.In the text night it says “police wielding clubs were shouting :All Jews outside” they got them all out and didn't  let them take their belonging they threw them all out without a warning they just started screaming at the Jews to go out.This shows injustice for the Jews because meanwhile the Jews worked hard for their home the Germans just came in and took everything from them and even took their happiness from them just because they didn't respect their beliefs.The Germans forced the Jews to choose their religion or pride.One example of them making the Jews chose between religion or pride would be when  they gave the Jews many restriction up to the point where they were restricted to go outside to practice their religion and they weren't able to use the bathroom so they had to chose to follow their religion and go outside or just lose their pride and just use the bathroom inside were everybody could watch them.

The nazis  went up to the point where they tortured and killed the Jews in horrible ways and painful ways.The Nazis  killed them in many ways some of them being being burned/executed the Jews were being shot and killed and children small babies were being murdered.One example is from the book night if the Jews in the camp were not in good health or were “good for nothings” they would get burned in the flames and become ashes they were being burned just because they didnt fit their standards they would make a selection randomly where they would make them run and if they didnt run fast enough they would write their  number down for the crematorium and they would just call out their number and burn them Also the ss officers would examine them  to see who was frail and whoever  was a “musselman” they would also send them to the crematorium because they weren’t going to be able to work for them so they would just be a waste of space for them .The Nazis werre killing the Jews horribly during their work also while being at home they would shoot anyone they saw not  doing anything or just sitting down for example if the jews took a break for just a few seconds and the SS officers saw them they would shoot them if they saw them.They would also threaten them when they were in the ghetto that if anybody went missing from the ghetto everybody would pay and they would all my shot like dog they would threaten them with their lifes if any one was missing,Also in the movie Schiendler’s List Amon Goeth shot one of the workers from his balcony without guilt when he saw the worker sitting and resting in the stairs for a few seconds  and killed him. The would have no heart or remorse even if they were forced or not they did not show sympany when seperating kids from their families just to murder the poor children.Since the kids  could not work the germans saw them as a waste of space/good for nothing so they got them in a truck not telling them where they were going and threw them to flames.Another example of them killing children would be from the novel Night when Elie said Never shall I forget the small faces of the children whose bodies I saw transformed into smoke under a silent sky this shows how the shows how the kids were being killed right infront of them and how that added to their trauma while in the camp how the kids of many different families were being killed right in front of them A truck drew close and unloaded its hold small children. Babies Yes i did see this, with my own eyes children thrown into flames children were being murdered and killed in a horrible way they were being burned without there families knowing anything of them.
