Negative Impact of Humans on Our Planet Essay Example

I believe that we have a negative impact on our planet. Over the years on the news I always heard that there is an excessive amount of trash in the ocean. If I go outside on a walk I can see trash everywhere I go like outside a store,parks,and even outside my house I see trash. When I go out with my family on the side of the road there is trash sometimes but very few there are people cleaning. Some people driving just throw trash out of their window. Driving I can also see that they are clearing the woods, cutting down trees or machines are making new roads. Sometimes it’s worse people run over animals then leave them there. Sometimes there are deer,cats,raccoons,possums ,and much more. Reporters try to give people false hope that we are getting there ,that there is way less trash, almost nothing but it’s all a lie and here’s why.

On the news or ourselves we can see trash everywhere on beaches,parks,and more. Most of the time the type of trash that we see is plastic or glass, the two things that take the longest to decompose. Where do they end up? On a landfill filled with trash waiting to decompose plastic can take up to 450 years to decompose. So we basically use an excessive amount of Plastic then can’t even dispose of it correctly. For example when the movie “W-alle” came out it showed what the future would look like if we don’t take care of the earth. It was showing adults and kids. Another thing is reporter companies like “PBS documentary” PBS made a whole documentary to show people to see what is happening, how there is trash in the ocean,roads,parks,and much more.How some animals are eating that and dying or some even end up on our plate. Some fishes that are living their life in the ocean are eating trash thinking it’s food or trash that can only be seen with a microscope. Then those fishes get exampinated then there is the trash in their stomach. If people can’t see it ,it could possibly end up on our plate.

That is how we are over killing animals. Some species of animals are getting killed because of trash. Some get killed because of trash then some because of people for fun or for food then let’s not forget how animals have to eat and there is a food chain animals eat animals. For example in the story “Rethinking the Wild” we can see how there are a small number of whooping cranes then how people always put themselves first in front of anybody. For example Mr. and Mrs. Gibbs how Mrs. Gibbs wanted to put her husband's events before the whooping crane's lives.The whooping cranes were an endangered species. Known people were finally helping them survive by helping them migrate when  it’s their time but when it’s time to move they don’t want to because of food that they are getting easily that does not help them at all. The scientists that were helping with the operation migration were saying that they were going to help them but not baby them so that when they are by themselves in the wild they can survive on their own. Getting their own food and shelter they just needed a little while migrating. We need to help instead of killing them for fun. Some have restraining orders that say you can not kill certain animals. But no here we are not helping them with all the pollution and trash.

Another thing we do is use our natural resources at an excessive amount. For example, some are water,oil,natural gas and simple air.  We cut down a lot of trees for paper and now some clothing is also made with something that a tree has that is called rayon. We also use oil in things that we use and never paid attention to for example in lipstick,mascara and more then also hand lotion, soap,deodorant,shampoo,contacts. There are a lot of things that are made of oil other than gas/fuel like gum,plastics. We use it but when we run out we won’t know what to do about it. One place I heard talk about it was in “ The Noble Speech” when Al Gore made his speech on climate change and his opinion on it. He was trying to warn people about climate change and how it was a crisis. Some of his words and I quote “ It is a real threat that is real,rising,imminent and Universal. Also "The earth has a rising fever and it will not heal by itself. Something basic is wrong. We are what is wrong, and we must make it right." The message was trying to be spread that we are hurting the earth and need to help it instead of harming it.

Yes you may argue that we have a positive impact by Recycling,Town clean ups,and new electric cars and light bulbs. Also how people try to help the environment but the reality is that we need to make a big impact to really show a positive change. So when people search up how humans have an impact on our planet overpopulation,pollution, and burning fossil fuels,and deforestation. That is not something to be proud about, instead it should be positive. But everyone has to put their part. For example, we can help clean up the trash at least in front of our homes. Some that we are known as a positive clean state is somewhere to start. If we are known as a clean state other states would like to compete against us. But for now let's try to help clean up over ourselves. 

In conclusion,we as humans will need to make a big impact as a whole in order to become positive.
