The internet contains an endless amount of knowledge, although humans have only explored 10%, and the rest is the dark and deep web. Parents need to be monitoring their kid's internet to ensure their safety and read information to prevent their kid's from viewing inappropriate sites. If parents don't monitor their children, it causes misguiding from reality, views explicit websites, and impacts kids' overall health. 

Websites and programs allow users to produce and share content or participate in social media, but there is reality, and then there's "reality" when it comes to what you see on the media. According to King's University, social media persona is usually different from who the person is in real life, and the boundary between the two is getting blurrier. When exploring the internet, teens could come across different trends that mislead users, like the pass out, blue whale, Tidpod challenge, and other challenges that can mislead teens to cause harmful acts to themselves or peers. Throughout the decade, some trends have gotten worst and gone live on the news to inform adults about ways to prevent people from doing these dangerous stunts. Communication will be a key to maintaining an excellent relationship with your kids and talking about the danger of the internet on how misguided some ideas are. Millions of websites help inform people about different articles and news that occurred throughout history, but that doesn't mean most websites are safe for teens to view. Any teenager can go to the internet to access explicit online content, and there is an unbelievable amount of content available online for free. Parents need to beware of websites that contain violence or nudity because the websites could impact the children's behavior. Staying in communication with your child on what they are doing online is a safe option to know what your child is viewing online. Remember that anything online isn't necessarily safe because websites can contain viruses, cyber-bullying, pornography, scams, and cyber predators.

The internet affected several people throughout their life, especially when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, for people used the internet more to play online or interact with friends. Staying for an extended period on the internet can cause problems that could turn fatal if you don't balance out your life. Health problems will increase like severe depression, obesity, and anxiety that can affect a teen at a young age. Millions of teens suffer from depression is, a mental illness that mainly consists of sadness and apathy, and one of the causes of teens suffering from depression is using the internet for a period causes them to have a lack of energy plus difficulty concentrating.

Overall, parents are obligated to monitor their children when glancing at the internet because it's folly about the real world, the risk to view incongruity sites, and generally affects teens' well-being. Teens are at a young age when they are maturing and deceived about what occurs on the internet. Several websites offer different content, while some websites can be inappropriate for the eyes of a teenager, which parents need to take caution. Throughout the decade, the internet has impacted the health of a human, mental health disorders, and different behaviors that connect to the usage of overused time of internet. We still have the same problem today, such as should guardians have the ability to overprotect their kids when surfacing throughout the internet.
