Others opinions should matter when making our own decisions because we make our own choices and influence our own decisions. Yes, the opinions of others affect our own choices or destinies. This paper will talk about how the opinions of others affect our own choices or destinies.

From the text of Romeo and Juliet, ”It fits, when such a villain is a guest. I’ll not endure him. Capulet. He shall be endured. What, goodman boy! I say, he shall. Go! Am I the master here, or you? Go! You’ll not endure him, God shall mend my soul! You’ll make a mutiny among my guests You will set cock-a-hoop.You’ll be the man! Tybalt. Why, uncle, ’tis a shame.Capulet. Go to, go to! You are a saucy boy. Is’t so, indeed? This trick may have a chance to scatter you. I know what. You must contradict me! Marry, ’tis time—Well said, my hearts!—You are a princox—go! Be quiet, or—more light, more light!—For shame! I’ll make you quiet. What!—Cheerly, my heart!”

Yes they matter because it tells us that Tybalt saw Romeo and that one of Tybalt's friends tells him to leave Romeo alone.

Next we will talk about a quote from Romeo and Juliet. Romeo. “She hath, and in that sparing make huge waste; For beauty, starved with her severity, cuts beauty off from all posterity. She is too fair, too wise, wise too fair To merit bliss by making me despair. She hath forsworn to love, and in that vow. Do I live dead that live to tell it now? Benvolio says,  Be ruled by me; forget to think of her.Romeo. O, teach me how I should forget to think! Benvolio. By giving liberty unto thine eyes.Examine other beauties. This means he forgot to think about Juliet so benvolio reminds him.

For those who think other opinions don’t affect their choices, opinions should not matter because we make our one choices and influence our own decisions. A quote from the story of Pyramus & Thisbe, “Semiramis, in houses so close together that one wall was common to both. Growing up thus side by side they learned to love each other. They longed to marry, but their parents forbade. Love, however, cannot be forbidden. Semiramis, in houses so close together that one wall was common to both. Growing up thus side by side they learned to love each other. They longed to marry, but their parents forbade. Love, however, cannot be forbidden.”  This is not totally correct, because listening to others opinions helps to show that you have evidence to back up your thinking and what you believe in.

In conclusion, do other people's opinions influence our choices and destinies? Yes, other people’s opinions influence our decisions and choices because some people do what you tell them to do like in Romeo and Juliet. When the friar gave Juliet a drink of poison to fake her death. Which means he told her she did it which was his opinion.
