The first reason why Adnan is guilty of the murder of Hae Min Lee is Jay's testimony. Jay's testimony gives a timeline of what Adnan and Jay did after Adnan killed Hae, what they tried to do to cover it up, and where that evidence can be found. During Jay's interview with the police, he gives a detailed time of events of what happened the day Adnan killed Hae. According to Jay's Testimony ”No, it’s not on a street, it’s like a where a bunch of row homes, in the back of a bunch of row homes on like a parking lot” (Koenig, episode 2). This led police to where Jay was describing and found Hae's car. This proves how Jay’s testimony is truthful and has valuable information about Haes murder. Jay's testimony also says where and what time Adnan and Jay buried Hae’s body. According to Serial ”At 7:15 they drive around for 45 minutes and finally arrive in Leakin Park---- Jay and Adnan bury Hae in the woods” (Koenig, episode 1). This statement from Jay's testimony of what happened is backed up by Adnan's cell phone tower pings. Because at around 8:00 Adnan's phone pings tower at Leakin Park. As stated in the article ``How GPS Tracker Works and Cell Phone Tower Triangulation Accuracy ``''Cell Tower Triangulation”, referring to how the cell towers calculate the tracker's geophysical location” (Tracki, page 1). This means that while cell tower triangulation is not pinpoint accurate, it is accurate to get a large area of where you are, which could definitely accurately place you being at a park. Proving how Adnan was definitely at Leakin Park around 8:00, even though Adnan tells police he was nowhere near Leakin Park on the date of Haes disappearance. Adnan is guilty of killing Hae Min Lee because Jay’s testimony proves that Adnan was lying to police about where he was and what he knew on the date of Hae's disappearance.

The next reason why Adnan Syed is guilty of the murder of Hae Min Lee is that his cellphone tower pings location proves where he was and that he was lying to police about what he was doing and where he was. As stated earlier Adnan tells police that he was nowhere near Leakin park on the date of Haes's disappearance, but his cell phone's location proves that he was lying and he was at Leakin park at the time Jay testifies that they buried Haes body. Adnan's alibi for the time frame of when Hae was killed is that he was in the library and that Jay had his phone. But Adnan's phone pings at a tower near best buy which isn't the school library. According to Adnan's cell phone log “Nisha 3:32 p.m. 2:22” (Koenig, Episode 5). Adnan says that this phone call was a buttdial, but Nisha testifies that she spoke to both Adnan and Jay on that phone call. This proves that Adnan was lying about not having his phone and about his alibi at being at the library. On the day Hae went missing the police reached out to him to ask if he knew where she was. Later in an interview when he's asked to recall events that happened the day Hae went missing. According to Serial “Adnan says he can’t remember much at all about the day Hae went missing? How it was just a normal day to him” (Koenig, episode 6). How is it that the day the love of his life goes missing and then gets a call from police about Hae being missing that he doesn't remember anything? According to ‘Why Do We Remember Certain Things, But Forget Others?’” Emotion acts like a highlighter that emphasizes certain aspects of experiences to make them more memorable” (Heshmat, page 1). This proves how he's lying about not remembering the phone call from the police because there's no way he couldn't remember a phone call from the police about the love of his life being missing. He did this so that he can distance himself from the investigation and try not to give them a reason to suspect him. This all shows how Adnan's cell phone tower pings locations, shows that he's lying and how he was trying to cover up killing Hae Min Lee.

The final reason why Adnan is guilty of the murder of Hae Min Lee is his strong motive. Adnan was Hae’s ex-boyfriend who was known to be possessive and Hostile. According to Serial “I’m going to kill” (Koenig, episode). This was written by Adnan on the back of a letter from Hae telling him his life is not going to end after the breakup. In one of Jay's interviews he also states that “I think I’m going to kill her, yeah, I think I’m going to kill her” (Koenig, episode 2). Was said by Adnan in a conversation between Jay and Adnan about the breakup with Hae. This shows that Adnan was very angry after Hae broke up with him and that he wanted to kill her. To the point where he even wrote it and said it. He even went against his religion and his parents to date Hae. After all, who wouldn't be furious after the girl who you disobeyed your religion and your parents for, dumped you? According to Serial, “I’m going to hell because I'm dating you” (Koenig, episode 2). This shows how he went against his religion and was going to hell for dating her and he wasn't too happy about it. This all adds to his motive to kill Hae which was that his anger toward Hae and his possessiveness that only he could have her drove him to end Haes life.

In Conclusion Jay's testimony, his cell phone's location, and his strong motive prove that Adnan is guilty of the murder of Hae Min Lee. Jay's testimony shows Adnan's guilt by telling us where the evidence linking Adnan to the murder is at, the timeline of what Adnan did that day, and how he was lying. Adnan's cell phone location shows his guilt by showing how he was at best buy when he said he was at school, at the time Hae was killed, and placing him at Leakin park at the same time Jay's testimony says that they buried the body. Adnan's motive shows his guilt by showing how he was really angry and he was too possessive to let Hae go and all of this drove him to kill Hae Min Lee.
