America was built to give individuals freedom, hope, a voice, and an opportunity to be them. To give an instance those who grew up in poverty were able to create a better life for themselves. On the other hand, some would believe otherwise, but the American Dream could be achieved by some individuals.

Some people who have come to America or been in America to achieve the American Dream; fight and try to make their dream come true. My parents came from Mexico and arrived in the United States with nothing. They struggled to succeed, but they work hard day and night to be where they are today.  They worked extremely hard for my brother and me to have everything we need. They have given us a roof over our heads and we have food on our tables every day no matter what the circumstance is. They also have supported my brother and me through every dissection we make. That was and continue to fight for their American Dream every day. There are some individuals that have different opportunities and some aren’t able to achieve their American Dream. Unlike my parents not all individuals have the opportunity to achieve the American Dream, there are many homeless people that struggle every day! Some of them struggle with drug addiction. Others are not able to find a job or don’t have a job. Because of that, they are not able to support themselves. The individuals who get help normally go back to their old ways, but some fight and make it out. Those will be determined to fight and make their dreams come true and become stable again.  Because of the circumstance, some individuals aren’t able to achieve the American dream. Another person who has achieved the American dream is Opran Whinfery. From a small age struggled economically with her family, but also struggled from getting past her trauma which was getting sexually assaulted at a young age. Even though she was thrown with those obstacles; she overcame those and is now successful in her own way. She now has a successful talk show and has well-won awards for her acting such as the Academy Award. So many individuals have forced them selfs to achieve the American Dream, but for some reason, they come short or can’t even reach it. People try so hard every day to make their American dream come true, but sometimes the opportunities are different, and if they failed the first time they give up, but others go ahead and keep fighting which some do succeed and achieve the American Dream. Sometimes it is possible depending on the current situation and circumstance.

Although some people might think differently, the American Dream is achievable by some individuals. The American Dream is achievable by all means. One way you can achieve the American Dream is by having character. An example of a person that had character and achieved the American Dream is Cesar Chavez who went ahead and fought for the right of the agricultural farmers. He had the character to do that and through time he built more character. Because of his character, he was able to achieve the American Dream of his and the other agriculture farmers. However, not all people have the same opportunities, circumstances, and determination; therefore, it is achievable by some individuals and not all.

Although many people may feel differently about the American Dream, it is achievable by some people. Trying to make a dream reality all depends on you and the situation the individuals are in. They also need to have the desire of making the American Dream true. While some people may disagree about being able to achieve the American Dream, it is achievable by some people.
