Grey's Anatomy, this show is based on the life of a surgeon, the name is Meredith Grey. The show focuses on her surgical residency and all the mayhem that comes with falling in love and choosing life, children, and marriage over surgery. Grey's Anatomy has been my comfort show for years. This show has always been there for me whenever I feel happy, sad, or stressed.

Imagining this show coming to an end is upsetting to me. I've watched and re-watched it so often that I feel so close with the characters. There have always been rumors about the show possibly ending, mostly because it has 18 seasons. Many characters have been killed off, and many have moved on with their lives, but there is one character who has always stayed in the hospital that raised her, and that is Meredith. Every original character has disappeared, except her. Consequently, she is the reason I still watch the show. Unfortunately, she is getting ready to move on. Sadly, if she does move on, the show ends. Meredith has been through so much and I understand that, but I believe she is making a mistake by leaving Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. The hospital raised her and made her who she is. I can not believe that now she will just leave without saying anything to the people who taught her.

I've always liked Meredith. She has been a light in the darkness of the show, the voice of reason, and family to everyone. She has been the only person who I've never hated in that show, but that may be coming to an end. Unfortunately, after an incident involving the death of a patient, the hospital has been put on probation by the Accreditation Council for Medical Graduate Education. Meaning that the hospital may lose the ability to train future surgeons. Meredith has become a famous surgeon for her research on Parkinson's and her successful attempt at the Abdominal wall transplant. If she were to leave the hospital during this situation, the hospital would crumble. The hospital's credibility would be called into question and the residency program would most definitely shut down. At this point, Meredith is the only hope that the hospital has. There is no loyalty on her part, after the discovery of a successful treatment for Parkinson's she has been sought after by every hospital in the country.

She has been offered a flashy research lab in Minnesota, and she has also fallen in love. She is considering moving to Minnesota with the man she has fallen in love with. She is going to leave everyone who has fought for her and her career. People who paved the way for her to be who she is today. She was even considering leaving without telling the people at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. That is betrayal at its finest. It is unbelievable that Meredith has the guts to leave everyone who has ever loved her. She would be leaving all her friends and mentors, not to mention she would also be leaving her sisters.

I can't imagine a world where I can't watch new episodes of my favorite show. I'm not good with change, that is why this change is hitting me hard. Overall, I feel like what Meredith is doing is betrayal. I can see where other people might be coming from. Some people believe that after all and everyone she has lost she has earned the right to move on. Unlike those people, I truly believe that is one more reason why she should stay. She has lost so many people that I believe she should cherish who she has and try to spend the most time she can with them. There is one more season coming, it has been confirmed. I'm not sure if it is the last one, and that scares me. At the moment, I do not like Meredith. I really hope that she can change my mind in the new season. The only thing worse than the show ending would be the show ending with me despising Meredith. That would be one of the worst endings in history.
