“The greatest threat to our constitution is our own ignorance of it Jacob F. Rocker. Weapon management debate has changed dramatically from the course of recent laws. Even if the mass shutting is more frequent in American life, the public debate about the Second Amendment right and weapon management is very open. Think we should have stricter gun control laws.

I think we should have stricter gun control laws because people who shouldn't be allowed to own guns can still own them one piece of evidence to support my claim is in document #2 a secondary source it states “the Brady Bill states that private sellers can sell a firearm to an unlicensed resident of the state where they live as long as they do not know or have a reasonable cause to believe that person should be prohibited from owning a firearm” they should have stricter gun control laws because anyone who wants one can get one and that is not safe for them or the surrounding people you don't know what there going to do with it.another example why we need stricter gun control laws is because young kids even if their over 18 shouldn't be able to just buy a gun for no reason in document #3 a secondary source states “The perpetrator of Wednesday's horrific school shooting in Parkland, Fla., purchased his military-style assault weapon legally. So did the man who shot more than 400 people in Las Vegas in October. “Youngyoungyoungyoung kids should not be able to buy a military assault weapon they could endanger himself and so many other people. These are examples of why we need stricter gun control laws so that not anyone who wants a gun can get one it is safer for everyone

Another reason I think we should have stricter gun control laws is because owning a gun can promote violence.in document #5 a secondary source it sets how owning a gun can promote violence and encourage bad behavior “Tougher laws restricting gun ownership are needed to curb rising rates of gun-related violence in the nation's cities. Free access to handguns encourages people To take the law into their own hands and Promote vigilantism.” a gun is very dangerous and when owning one it can mess with someone's head and make them use it in the wrong way like for school shootings, robberies and home invasions. Another reason we should have stricter gun control laws because in document #4 a secondary source a resident just walked into a store and bought a gun and did this with it “The killers in recent incidents like Las Vegas, , Orlando and the Sutherland spring were each able to walk into a gun shop in the days before their attacks and legally purchased their assault weapon and magazines after passing a standard background check under an assault weapon”” No one should be able to just walk into the store and be able to buy a gun that is not a safe and promotes violence.

However, some may be able to argue that we shouldn’t have strict gun control laws and there is evidence to prove but I still think we should have stricter gun control laws. In document #1 a secondary source states “During early American history, all males who were between the ages of sixteen to sixty were required to be a part of the local militia in their towns and communities.” but in document yes it can be used for self-defense but what if they decide to use for another reason and bad reason for example a robbery or a home invasion In conclusion we should have stricter gun control laws because owning a gun can promote violence and people who shouldn't be allowed to own guns can still own them. Guns are a very dangerous weapon. It is not a toy, it is not something to be played with and to own just for fun!
