Are you confused on whether you should spend your vacation in Dubai or Abu Dhabi? Both cities are located in the United Arab Emirates and are very popular vacation destinations for every type of traveler. Whether you are travelling with a family of 10 or flying solo, the UAE has the perfect activities for you… but what city suites you best? Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE while Dubai is the tourist hub with over 19 million tourists that visit each year. Choosing between which Emirate to visit could be one of the hardest decisions you’ll ever make! The following essay introduces the prices, and destinations these two cities have to offer to see which Emirate suites you better.

One of the first things you should consider when travelling to the United Arab Emirates is your budget and how much you are willing to spend. According to championtraveler.com hotels in Abu Dhabi usually cost about thirty-eight to eighty-four dollars per night while hotels in Dubai costs about one hundred eighty-five to three hundred sixty-seven dollars per night, which is more than 3 times the price! This major significance in price is because Dubai is considered the tourist capital of UAE which means that it has more things targeted for tourists unlike Abu Dhabi which mainly focuses on other things such as petrol, and other business-related matters. Another thing you should consider when discussing the financial parts of the trip is how much you will be spending each day on food, attractions, and transportation fees. In Dubai the mid-range travel style for one person will cost around 198 dollars for the attractions and activities, 45 dollars for food, and around 10 dollars for transportation per day. That is a grand total of 253 dollars spent each day. On the other hand, Abu Dhabi has much more cheaper options than Dubai, for example attractions are 131 dollars per person, 36 dollars on meals, and 10 dollars for transportation; which is a grand. Total of 177 dollars per day. So, if you want to travel luxuriously Dubai is for you, but if you are on a budget then Abu Dhabi is the perfect spot.

Attractions and destinations are some of the best things to scrutinize when trying to rule out what city your visiting…while Dubai and Abu Dhabi may sound similar in terms of location, weather, Culture. They do not have similar destinations and attractions; thus, they are not targeted to the same people. Dubai is a city that never sleeps, Abu Dhabi is a tranquil and serene environment… Speaking of the city that never sleeps, Dubai is home to tens of hundreds of world records such as the tallest building, largest mall, longest painting… Dubai also has theme parks and museums such as Dubai Parks, IMG worlds, and The Frame. Because of the hot weather they decided it’s a great idea to create indoor rainforests and ski resorts (Green Planet and Ski Dubai). Dubai also has a range of night life activities in case your jet lagged or to exited to go to bed. On the other hand, Abu Dhabi is a more tranquil, and idyllic atmosphere. Abu Dhabi is famous for their cite seeing attractions such as the astonishing sheikh Zayed grand mosque, and the jaw dropping louvre. One of the most under rated things about the UAE is Abu Dhabi’s Luxurious architecture and skyline. With building in shapes you’ve never seen before and skyscrapers that literally touch the clouds; the Abu Dhabi skyline is something you do not want to miss! When travelling to Abu Dhabi you should stop by the beaches because they have the most mesmerizing beaches that soothe your aura! Therefor if you want to go to an adrenaline pumping vacation then you should go to Dubai but if you are looking forward to going to a calm and peaceful town than Abu Dhabi is perfect for you!

When you differentiate between Abu Dhabi and Dubai you realize that they are not very similar at all. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are not far from each other, but they seem 2 worlds apart in terms of what is inside (attractions hotels, activities and destinations etc.…). for example, Dubai’s beaches are known for the beaches and how hundreds of people make parties and weddings on a daily basis, while Abu Dhabi’s beaches are looked upon as pieces of a hidden treasure! The two emirates have a large difference in the spending and budget price for the accommodations, attractions, destinations and ambiances. You can also see that the destinations they have are targeted to very different groups… personally I would spend a vacation in Dubai because it’s a city that never sleeps and I love the somewhat hectic ambiance, but most of my peers would go to Abu Dhabi because they love the serenity of the place!
