Apple and Huawei since their establishment in 1976 and 1987 have been two of the most successful worldwide tech companies. Both companies are daily disgusted and their need to please their clients is recognized. Aside from several similarities Apple and Huawei have a lot of differences, such as privacy, production and prices. This paper will focus on these differences

Firstly, both companies are selling high-quality products but with different price ranges. Apple is considered an essential luxury brand. According to Kim(2020), the production of a luxury item contains leather, silk diamonds, along with gold, in Apple’s occasion metal, glass and the attention to the details is what matters, in addition to the identity that comes with valuable social currency (Cunningham,2018). The business has successfully achieved two wealth indicators, social currency, and addiction. As a result, once a client buys an Apple product, amazed by the quality and the design wants to buy more, despite the price. Apple products are now synonyms to luxury. On the other hand, Huawei’s strength depends on the high quality and affordable price of its goods. Huawei is the most budget-friendly company among its rivals and the market, as specified by Jean (2021) the company was ranked 3rd on the 7 most successful Global smartphone brands in the years 2020-2021.

Secondly, in connection with privacy, Apple is a world well-known successful company, its most essential value is the security of its customers. According to Apple’s website (2021), their items are specifically designed to allow their shoppers to experience total control of their personal information. Graham (2018) notes that it collects less data from its users, than other tech companies and then 

increases the security by altering it in a way that is impossible to identify where the data came from. Nevertheless, Huawei has been accused innumerable times of spying on people, working as a Chinese agent in the government’s favour (Isobel Asher Hamilton, 2020).In 2014 United States banned US tech firms from bidding with Chinese companies and in 2018 Huawei products stopped selling in the market, after former president Donald Trump put Huawei on an export blacklist. Aside from the US, Japan was also concerned resulting in banning Huawei from official government contracts, over and above Canada and the United Kingdom are concerned to cooperate with the company(Emily Stewart,2019).

Furthermore, likewise, Apple and Huawei are determined to create a large product portfolio, notwithstanding both companies must create hardware and software to accompany these products, Triggs (2021) claims that for many years, Huawei was depending on US companies for its hardware. After the United States completely prohibited any association with any Chinese technology production market, the association was impossible. In just a short period of years, “Huawei developed a chip, named system-on-a-chip by HiSilicon, the Huawei-owned semiconductor company its hardware and software, resulting in profitable products “(Triggs,2021, no page). After many attempts from the US to harm the company’s hardware, Huawei boosted its efforts in software, hoping to develop into their main income(Arjun Kharpal,2021). The founder of Huawei Technologies, Ren Zhengfei asked the company’s staff to “dare to lead the world” in software, seeking growth beyond hardware that the US is trying to sabotage, affirmations by Kirton (2021). Conversely, Apple was always strategically integrated. It regulates all the significant parts of the process used to manufacture and sell products. Apple builds great hardware and significant software, equips it with web services, and controls the selling through its retail stores. The company’s hardware is the aesthetically pleasing package that allows consumers to experience their software and services. Taking its hardware and software into account, in addition to the elegant designs of the items that make its clients addicted to its devices(  Ben Bajarin,2011).

To evaluate, it seems that Apple is stronger than Huawei. Apple has a strong privacy system, it is said to be a high quality, luxurious company, that accompanies its gadgets with excellent software and hardware. Nevertheless, Huawei, despite the spying accusation, offers good quality products at very affordable prices. If Huawei develops a more secure environment for its clients is likely to become more successful.
